Hey there! I'm a girl who has always lived by the motto of "work hard, play hard." I value my career and have worked hard to get where I am today. I feel incredibly lucky to have a job that I love and one that allows me to work on an issue I'm passionate about: protecting the environment. However, I still like play more than work:) I appreciate my downtime and my fun time equally. You'll catch me at a bar one weekend night, and then other will be spent cooking a meal and watching a movie or reading a good book. I enjoy traveling but not the kind where you mash in as much as can be managed in a week; again, it's all about the balance of adventure and relaxation. I travel a decent amount for work so my vacations have to include at least a few days of laying by a pool or at the beach. Plus, I lived at the beach for four years post-undergrad, so I need my fix from this land-locked state! Love listening to music and discovering new bands. I like all kinds of music, but my favorite type is probably indie.Friends and family are a huge part of my life. I love spending time with them and playing auntie to my friend's kids. I just thought I'd give this another try so here I am. I'm a single mom with two boys, I like to be outside, stay active, I love the lake and I workout regularly. I'm just a normal girl who likes to read and spend time with friends and family. I manage a small office that does pay day loans. I may not love what I do all the time, but I love the people I work with! I spend most of my time at work laughing with my co-workers which is a good thing because I love to laugh!I'm very close to my family. I also have a great group of friends that I love spending time with. We'll meet up for dinner and stuff but every now and then we like to go to karaoke nights and that is one of my favorite things! I wouldn't say I'm a great singer, I just like to do it.I don't really have any other musical skills but I do like to be creative with painting and writing. Like I said before, I love to read! Reading has always been a big part of my life and my books have pretty much taken over my apartment. I have actually recently gone back to school. My big plan is that I want to get a degree in education and teach while I work on getting a masters degree in library science. My dream is to one day work at a public library with their programs for illiteracy and programs that reach out to kids.Nostalgia goes a long way with me. So when it comes to my favorite books, movies, bands, anything like that, they usually tend to be the things I experienced as a child or through high school. And just so you know...Favorite Book: The Silver Chair by C.S. He is a boxer and he is everything to me! I have five tattoos, three of which are pretty small so you probably wont ever notice them. I am an ex smoker and I'm not really big on drinking. I will have a few beers when I go for karaoke nights and I enjoy a glass of wine every now and then. But I hardly ever keep alcohol at my apartment because I just don't even think about it. I can't think of what else to share so I guess if you want to know something just ask.
