And I believe them because I want to. I'm not sure how I feel about finding romance on here but I can honestly say I've made a few wonderful friends through this site and I prefer to dwell in possibilities. My body type would best be described as "curvy", but that's not an option on here. I take good care of myself, dress well, and I'm a real girly-girl. But if you're looking for a super-model, I'm not it. Not even a 52-year-old former super model. But I'm happy with who I am right now and continue to strive to be even better. I am a work in progress.I am loving, affectionate, and faithful. And no, I am not a Labrador Retriever. I am very fun-loving and have a GREAT sense of humor. I'm very easy-going and love to see new places, meet new people, and try new things. The worst thing that will happen is I'll learn what I don't need to do twice.I am equally comfortable in a dress and heels, or jeans and a t-shirt. I am a true "people person" and love going out for dinner, drinks, music, and good conversation. But there's something lovely and intimate about an evening for two at home as well - cooking together, some wine, and a great DVD can be the best remedy for life's challenges.The two qualities that I am most looking for in a guy are a sense of humor and intelligence. Laughter is vital in a relationship - and I don't take myself or life too seriously! Chemistry is also a must and sometimes that has nothing to do with physical appearance. It's either there or it's not....and we can't always explain it.My three children are grown and on their own. I have a job that I love, a crazy family that I adore, and a group of friends that keep me sane. I am not a clinging vine but would love to meet someone I can actually spend time with. But I am ready for a relationship with a smart, funny, independent kind of guy.Thanks so much for checking out my profile. My pictures are recent and not deceiving in any way, except that I am about fifteen pounds thinner than my main picture, which is the most recent, and ***pounds thinner than the pic of me in the doorway. And I do wear glasses for driving and watching TV, but I think they make me look smart. ;)TERRI First dates can be awkward for the first five minutes, but I tend to relax and have fun most of the time. If there's no chemistry we can at least say we tried and maybe even walk away from it with a new friend. And if there IS chemistry, then yay for us! Coffee, drinks, and/or a light snack work for me, but it's hard for me to look like the Sexy Beast that I am with spaghetti down my chin - so lets save the full dinner for a second or third date, if we're lucky enough to decide it's worth the effort. A leisurely stroll is nice too. Bungee jumping is definitely a no, but I'm open to suggestions.

I have had numerous challenges in my life so I am strong. You either rise to the occasion or you are conquered. My oldest child has multiple disabilities and has had numerous surgeries over the years. I will always be responsible for his well being although he has staff around 24 hours a day who love and care for him. He is also the healthiest, most physically fit disabled guy I know and alot of fun with a good sense of humor. Except the winters since I can’t stand to be cold and was hoping to find a life partner to identify the winter location!I like to be active and want to continue to have an active life throughout the rest of my life. I think it improves mental attitude as well as reduces illness and physical pain. And it just feels better to be physically fit. I work out about ***times a week, bikram yoga, jogging, lunges, squats, kayaking and hiking when seasonally appropriate, etc. I would like someone who enjoys being active as well. My children are young adults and I am very close to them but now it is my time to travel and enjoy life with a life partner. Life is an adventure that is meant to be lived.I enjoy the geographic beauty of the DC metropolitan area but love to travel for pleasure. I would really like to travel overseas with that right person. There are so many places that I haven't been yet. Even for a long weekend. I I travel a good amount for work but will find time to build a relationship with that right person. I am looking for a life partner who is physically fit, educated, a man whose word is their bond. Maybe you are or were in the military, maybe you are an executive, fireman,really any profession, it is more about your character than what you do. Your character, how you treat me and others is what I value. You are protective of the people you care about without being controlling. You are sufficiently confident in your own abilities that you are not threatened by my success. Integrity is a critical characteristic for me in a partner, it will be in your actions as well as your words. This extends to looking like your pictures. It makes it so much easier when we meet! ( I look like my pics.) I want someone I share a strong mutual chemistry with, I am a passionate person and I think that is a critical component of any successful relationship. I want someone to share the rest of my life with me. I think meeting for coffee or something short is nice for a first meeting to get to meet and know someone.
