’t really tan! I love to be outdoors with the man in my life. It can be as simple as walking to Starbucks together, going to the grocery store, or doing laundry. With the right person anything and everything is fun. I love to laugh and believe that life was meant to be joyful and enjoyed.Who am I? I am a successful happy business owner, I am a USMC veteran (many years ago), I am a good mom, and vibrant passionate woman. Btw, due to some recent comments, the fact that I am a veteran of the USMC does NOT mean that you should treat me like one of the guys. If you want to date a woman whose behavior and looks resemble a guy, you will need to move on to someone else. I believe in exhibiting integrity and respect in all of my actions. I have had numerous challenges in my life so I am strong. You either rise to the occasion or you are conquered. My oldest child has multiple disabilities and has had numerous surgeries over the years. I will always be responsible for his well being although he has staff around 24 hours a day who love and care for him. He is also the healthiest, most physically fit disabled guy I know and alot of fun with a good sense of humor. Except the winters since I can’t stand to be cold and was hoping to find a life partner to identify the winter location!I like to be active and want to continue to have an active life throughout the rest of my life. I think it improves mental attitude as well as reduces illness and physical pain. And it just feels better to be physically fit. I work out about ***times a week, bikram yoga, jogging, lunges, squats, kayaking and hiking when seasonally appropriate, etc. I would like someone who enjoys being active as well. My children are young adults and I am very close to them but now it is my time to travel and enjoy life with a life partner. Life is an adventure that is meant to be lived.I enjoy the geographic beauty of the DC metropolitan area but love to travel for pleasure. I would really like to travel overseas with that right person. There are so many places that I haven't been yet. Even for a long weekend. I I travel a good amount for work but will find time to build a relationship with that right person. I am looking for a life partner who is physically fit, educated, a man whose word is their bond. Maybe you are or were in the military, maybe you are an executive, fireman,really any profession, it is more about your character than what you do. Your character, how you treat me and others is what I value. You are protective of the people you care about without being controlling. You are sufficiently confident in your own abilities that you are not threatened by my success. Integrity is a critical characteristic for me in a partner, it will be in your actions as well as your words. This extends to looking like your pictures. It makes it so much easier when we meet! ( I look like my pics.) I want someone I share a strong mutual chemistry with, I am a passionate person and I think that is a critical component of any successful relationship. I want someone to share the rest of my life with me. I think meeting for coffee or something short is nice for a first meeting to get to meet and know someone.

    It's a beautiful day and time to enjoy some simple pleasures, smile and laugh a little. A quiet morning cup of coffee, enjoying the view as the mist rises off the water... The water is clear, cool and so tempting to just dip a few toes or get totally soaked - blue jeans and all! In my world, the bugs don't bite and the fish do (not my toes - just the fishing bait/lure).A paint brush in my hand...something about it feels right. A 2.5" angled brush will make a fresh newly painted wall...a flat, filbert, round or detail brush will help make a work of art. I have done a few I'm proud of like pet portraits of my children's dogs...and the sail boat I put on this site. I have a few in-progress paintings on my easels now and try to paint in the evenings. Thus, I appreciate art and art exhibits.I've been in my house over 15 months now, it was a forclosure and needed work - I needed a project, so it was a VERY good match! I'm pretty handy around the house - electrical, plumbing, drywall, tile (floors and countertops) etc... Why pay for something I can do myself! The kitchen was gutted down to the studs and at this point is done except for wood trim and curtains.Regardless of what I can do, I am a lady and I appreciate a thoughtful man who smiles easily, opens doors and is willing to at least slow dance. If you can country line dance and do a two-step that would be awesome! I'm out of practice and have done very little two-stepping. :) Hopefully you like spending time outside...walking/hiking in the woods, photography, camping, boating and such. My life does not revolve around sports, I would rather be doing than watching... If I am watching TV, there will probably be knitting in my lap or something else.I am debt free, except for my house, and have a good job. I am not wealty, just comfortable... If I was after money, I would have kept the retired one with two million in the bank (after his divorce) or the one making over $100,***a year.Precious (fish bait) and (high) Jack are my little dogs...6 and 3 pounds repectively. They own two parakeets.What else...I'm not sure quite what to say...so you can ask me if you want to know. I might even tell you. ;)If you don't have a picture, or your NOT smiling in some of your pictures - chances are good I won't reply. I'm looking for the right 'smile'! A quite evening to talk...maybe a walk...to get to know each other and see if there may be a mutual spark.
