I am most happy when the sun is shining, but I can also be found outside relaxing or walking on cloudy, grey days. Being one with nature keeps me relaxed and grounded. My favorite time at the beach is late afternoon into early evening when the sun sets and the sky turns to muted colors of blue, purple, pink and gold. I love my fishing trips at the shore or the lakes with my sons. I am a true optimist; very much a glass half full person. And that’s how I feel about my life right now. I’ve had a great life so far, and I expect good things, including finding my soulmate, in the future. Regrets..…I can’t think of any. I choose to think of things in the past that didn’t go well as learning opportunities, not misfortunes or regrets.I love music and I enjoy dancing. I will listen to a variety of genres, although most of the time my radio is tuned to the top 40, a preference I learned from my daughter. Top 40 is totally off limits though if either of my sons are in the car..…then it’s only classic rock or county.So what am I looking for in a partner? I like a man who is confident, positive, polite, funny and who takes the lead. I am very passionate and loving. I must confess that I am a true romantic and nothing excites me more than a great, passionate kiss. Living a healthy lifestyle is important to me. I enjoy cooking meals together or going to a restaurant. I like to exercise a couple times a week as part of my routine. ’t really tan! I love to be outdoors with the man in my life. It can be as simple as walking to Starbucks together, going to the grocery store, or doing laundry. With the right person anything and everything is fun. I love to laugh and believe that life was meant to be joyful and enjoyed.Who am I? I am a successful happy business owner, I am a USMC veteran (many years ago), I am a good mom, and vibrant passionate woman. Btw, due to some recent comments, the fact that I am a veteran of the USMC does NOT mean that you should treat me like one of the guys. If you want to date a woman whose behavior and looks resemble a guy, you will need to move on to someone else. I believe in exhibiting integrity and respect in all of my actions. I have had numerous challenges in my life so I am strong. You either rise to the occasion or you are conquered. My oldest child has multiple disabilities and has had numerous surgeries over the years. I will always be responsible for his well being although he has staff around 24 hours a day who love and care for him. He is also the healthiest, most physically fit disabled guy I know and alot of fun with a good sense of humor. Except the winters since I can’t stand to be cold and was hoping to find a life partner to identify the winter location!I like to be active and want to continue to have an active life throughout the rest of my life. I think it improves mental attitude as well as reduces illness and physical pain. And it just feels better to be physically fit. I work out about ***times a week, bikram yoga, jogging, lunges, squats, kayaking and hiking when seasonally appropriate, etc. I would like someone who enjoys being active as well. My children are young adults and I am very close to them but now it is my time to travel and enjoy life with a life partner. Life is an adventure that is meant to be lived.I enjoy the geographic beauty of the DC metropolitan area but love to travel for pleasure. I would really like to travel overseas with that right person. There are so many places that I haven't been yet. Even for a long weekend. I I travel a good amount for work but will find time to build a relationship with that right person. I am looking for a life partner who is physically fit, educated, a man whose word is their bond. Maybe you are or were in the military, maybe you are an executive, fireman,really any profession, it is more about your character than what you do. Your character, how you treat me and others is what I value. You are protective of the people you care about without being controlling. You are sufficiently confident in your own abilities that you are not threatened by my success. Integrity is a critical characteristic for me in a partner, it will be in your actions as well as your words. This extends to looking like your pictures. It makes it so much easier when we meet! ( I look like my pics.) I want someone I share a strong mutual chemistry with, I am a passionate person and I think that is a critical component of any successful relationship. Hi guys, I am a really and truly nice lady who's looking for her last love! I'm a proud mom of two little furbabies who are as silly as possible, so you must like dogs. I actually like all animals, I even had one job where I wore a baby python around my wrist for several hours -- he seemed perfectly happy! I love most kinds of music, I don't care for bluegrass or rap though. While I LOVE the Pirates of the Caribbean films (ok, ok, so it's really Johnny Depp I went to see!) and the Iron Man movies, Notes on a Scandal, Bridesmaids, Pirate Radio (especially with a glass of wine or two!), I also like good horror films like Saw, not part 20 of Friday the 13th. My true friends will tell you I'm generous to a fault, thoughtful, considerate, and just a really sweet person. I love reading, like to unwind with pc games, and don't have one single outstanding creditor - my bills are all caught up! I know I'm nervous enough just thinking about meeting someone new and making a (hopefully) good impression -- I used to suggest to dates that we meet at Hooters, so that if he and I didn't hit it off, at least he'd have something nice to look at! I do think a first meeting should be in a public place, but not so noisy that we can't hear ourselves talk...the whole idea is to get to know each other, right?
