I'll make you a deal. If you take a chance and get to know me, I promise that I'll treat you with as much respect and consideration as anybody has.Me-I enjoy doing different things than most people and although I would always appreciate having my mate along, I know that everybody has different interests and I'm certainly not trying to find someone to join me in all of those activities. What I am looking for, eventually, is a best friend, lover, a strong connection and a healthy relationship.I'm really into nature and spend most of my spare time hiking in the local forests or paddling through the wetlands. As a hobby I teach wilderness skills and survival and do a lot of overnight backpacking where I can hang out with all the amazing wildlife we have here and watch the incredible night sky as I fall asleep. I probably get out doing things like this at least twice a week. I see such amazing things! A lot of people say they like to hike and camp but I live it. I hang out with the deer and porcupines and the peregrine falcons. I also spend time hanging out at home with the cats, having friends over to visit and creating stuff. I guess if someone was here with me I would be snuggling up on the couch and talking about life too.I never watch sports. There are plenty of other men for that. Actually, I really don't watch any tv and feel like I'm wasting other real life experiences when it's turned on. I don't think mine has actually been plugged in since the storm season started...two years ago. I do watch the odd movie on my computer, mostly in the winter.I'm very much into conservation and I'm active in a number of organizations that work to protect nature. I mainly do this to keep up the exercise that I wouldn't otherwise get in the winter.Because I hike, bike and row a lot, I'm physically fit. Most people think I'm in my mid thirties.I always park my truck in the summer and tried it this last winter too. Some people will think it is weird that I bike to most places but it keeps me in really good shape, I save a ton of money and it's a good example for conservation. I have plenty of good friends that always offer me rides to pick up big items and they know that I am always willing to come and fix their computer or help with whatever. It builds community.My home is a very quiet sanctuary. I'm kind of a minimalist so its a simplistic, cozy, small home. I'm very tidy.I eat very healthily but fall off of the wagon occasionally (damn ice cream!).I'm very mild mannered and non-confrontational. I'm not possessive, needy or dependent. I'm not going to have a problem with you getting together with your friends (male or female) to do other activities on a regular basis. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want to be out in the bush all day looking for a pileated woodpecker nest.I'm a bit of a romantic I guess. I own the most powerful astronomy equipment in the Red Deer area but nothing seems to make me feel closer to the stars than cozying up in thick blankets with someone under a starry sky.I'm very lucky to have a lot of very good friends. I'm not sure what I've done to deserve them but they take very good care of me and we do a lot of interesting things together. They are all very involved with the community. I don't speak to my family and I think I would go crazy if I didn't have other such good, salt of the earth people in my life.I'm really easy going so message me anything, even if you have no idea what to say and just say "Hi."
