Update: Been here for a while now and met some wonderful women. However, no real chemistry or sparks just yet. I have learned a bit more about what I am looking for and what type of woman I am attracted to. I find I am attracted to active and reasonably fit women (you don't have to be a fitness fanatic though!! Lol). Looks do matter to me (I know it sounds shallow but if I don't find you physically attractive there really isn't much chance of any kind of relationship). I prefer brunettes and blondes over redheads...bad experiences with reds! Lol. Height is not important as long as you're well proportioned. I find a woman that is comfortable in flip flops and a tshirt as well as a great dress and heels very appealing as I like to go from casual to dressed up in the right situation. Finally, someone that is outgoing and comfortable meeting people in different social situations....wallflowers need not apply! Lol. Does this sound like you? As a matter of fact I lived there for more than 2 years and would love to move back permanantly one day. There is just something about a casual, laid back beach lifestyle that is so appealing. I enjoy all kinds of music, sports (love hockey!), great food and an ice cold beer! I also took up scuba diving about 7 years ago and I love it! It's very relaxing and peaceful being underwater and seeing a world that few people get to experience. I'm just as comfortable in shorts and flip-flops as I am in a shirt and tie (at the right time and place of course). So basically I love being outdoors in hot sunny weather! Something we just don't get enough of in Calgary. I like to get out and socialize with friends and meet new people, but I also like to just chill at home with a good movie (especially in the winter...not really a fan of the cold weather!). I'm not interested in endless online chats. I prefer to meet in person where you can really tell if there is any chemistry.I have never been married and have no children so I'm pretty free to do what I want whenever I want! I could go on for a while but then that would leave nothing for us to talk about! lol. Don't be shy, I don't bite (unless you want me too)!! Hi! Thanks for scrolling down this far!Bottom-line: I’m here because I ultimately want to spend time with my best friend in a monogamous relationship where we treat each other with respect, feeling, honesty, and listen to each other’s opinions & desires as we make decisions together. I want to fall in love, and put in the effort to stay that way forever!…Now, meetville suggests starting by sharing 4 (pretty simple) things with you:1. That my goals/aspirations include: tightening up my core now that I’ve succeeded in losing 20 lbs; taking care of my 14-year-old furry best-friend as long as I still can to pay back all the trust & joy he’s brought me from a pup; to in time get back out in the world and do more volunteering similar to a few years back; and also that I’m ready to find & share true equality, love, understanding, pure fun, balance, and respect with a quality lady.2. What makes me unique: I don’t drink (alcohol, for medical reasons) yet I’m fine if you do socially, and I still have fun and know how to relax; I have a very profitable business yet only work half the year because quality time away from work is a priority too; I’m male yet really have no interest in professional sports (but I’m happy to BE sporty – tennis, ball, canoeing, etc. – doing them with you); we can share serious thoughts to change the world yet have giggle-fits sharing favorite cartoon moments; I don’t have kids of my own yet still yearn to become part of a loving family (either step-related or new); I don’t want “the latest” toys yet still seek to find quality in simple things; I have worn a 3-piece suit in a corporate boardroom yet also wings & a tutu in the same room; I’m 95% flexible & adventurous yet specific in things lacking respect I will not tolerate; I’ll try to take you passionately wherever you want to go yet never for a second stop respecting you as the quality, equal lady in my life.
