I'm intelligent, honest, have a quirky sense of humour and like to make people laugh. I'm also passionate and sometimes quite intense, which I don't see as a bad thing. I have a lot of hobbies and interests, particularly writing or a small theatre company I run, so I get on best with people who are perhaps a bit arty and free thinking. I'd rather you had opinions that were different to mine than no opinions at all, because I love to discuss things and enjoy a good debate.I'm not afraid of commitment, but I'm not desperate either, so I'm taking my time to find someone special. I'm not very romantic, but I'm not a player. A good sex life is part of good relationship, but it's not the basis of one. I am not looking for one night stands or quick flings. I want to find someone to live a full life and grow old with. I'm vegetarian but otherwise not fussy about food. I enjoy being around animals and in nature (on those rare days the weather allows). My musical tastes are varied; indie/alternative most of all but I like a little of everything from classical to contemporary.... except Country. I still enjoy going to gigs so hope you do too!I love all sorts of films, some very high brow and some real trash for when I want to put my brain in neutral. If you want to know more, ask away. Good fishing! ;) Anywhere we can relax, chat and get to know each other, so probably a pub or cafe. I'm not trying to sell you something, or vice versa, so the first date is for us to find out if we're both interested in having a second.

Hi!I love eating out and trying new food places, and cooking has become an increasingly interesting hobby of mine (haven't poisoned myself yet so must be working!) chocolate cheesecakes, French roast chicken in garlic and white wine etc. I also love hiking and cycling, visits to the Peak District to escape the rat-race keep fit and to take in the views. Also in my past was a bit of kung fu and weight training, I was keyboardist in some minor bands, and Lego master ;)Movies : Something with a twist, drama, horror, comedies, anything really. Sometimes hold a movie evening for friends...we never know what rubbish we will end up watching and believe me we've seen some rubbish!. as you can see its a wide range! I'm quite selective with my music, usually listening to stuff that reminds me of a movie scene, epic/dark or uplifting anthems so i'm difficult to pigeonhole. I also make music myself.I usually have a good book on the go, grow my own veg on occasion and know my way around computers to a good level. I enjoy the odd live comedy show, schmoooooozing at markets, and getting to the coast when I can for spontaneous beach bbqs and lazing in the dunes! Perhaps a quiet drink in a public place. First dates don't need to be exotic and action-packed, after all you are there to learn about the other person, away from distractions. Please, no timewasters.... is that you?
