About Me

... seeks to meet a lovely young woman who is independent, professional, outgoing, attractive, outdoorsy, athletic and is willing to be wooed by a slightly balding Jewish marathoner who has impeccable taste in music, wine, and a damn good coffee-maker. We share the same goals with respect to finding a significant other, and share the same goals in life from both a personal and professional viewpoint.Goals? I recently restarted my consultancy after going in-house with a very large multinational company for most of ***. Things are going great, and balancing work with fun times with the right woman is of high desire. What makes me unique? I am rather worldly for an "American" guy and can order a mate and empanadas as easily as I could whip up an omelette, seek out bulgogi at a Korean BBQ and romance you by playing some Italian pop music.Music tastes?-minute time span. I like everything but hardcore 90s rap and am not a fan of a lot country music but dig Rascal Flatts and Darius Rucker. The longer my description, the more likely you'll get bored or the more likely you'll get this false sense of what the 'perfect' first date should be. I've learned that there is no perfect first date, because it should be a "first" of many dates. Oftentimes we think of the first date as the setting where everything needs to be perfect -- the right restaurant, the right conversation topics, the right mood, the right clothes and the right place to kiss for the very first time. How many great first dates have ended up the second-to-last dates? There are the obvious ways to answer this. So, let's go with the things I will NOT do on a First Date.1) Coffee. I'm not 22 years old anymore, so meeting at a coffee house is just not going to work. Let's meet up for a drink after work. Even if you don't drink alcohol, it's a bit more sophisticated and a bit more adult. 2) Talk about work.My work is not my life. I'd rather talk about you and what drives you, motivates you and inspires you. What do you like to do when you're NOT working? That's what defines you and will make me want you.3) Spend $***on dinner at a steakhouse.Sorry, ladies. If you're wooed by the materialistic flash of guys who will spoil you with the intent of winning you over and becoming the "boyfriend", you should move on to another profile. The foundation of a relationship should not be based on how much a guy is willing to spend to impress you. That's just shallow and says nothing of compatibility, or what the guy's actually all about.

Looking for: woman. In age: 42-52

....not sure why I moved away but every once in a while we have to do something to remind us of what we have.....Anyway, I am a teacher/coach and I love to travel and I have a great sense of humor although, I am a bit on the sarcastic side......I am emotional and financially stable....I pretty much love anything outdoors but not a big camper lol.. On a first date we would have to go somewhere that we could talk, I love long interesting conversations.

I'm a truly caring, nice guy interested in finding my soul mate and best friend.I'm a smart ass, and teasing sometimes, but I keep it playful, never hurtful. I think I'm pretty witty, and funny.I'm handy around the house and I'm the techie that people go to when they have computer questions/problems.I have cats and love all animals.I like your standard nerdy pop-culture things. I love Star Wars - even the prequels. I like Star Trek. I've just started watching Dr. Who on Netflix and I'm enjoying it. I prefer watching things at home if possible - where I don't have to worry about other people damaging the viewing experience, and we can pause to make popcorn, or whatever. But I do like to see some of the big-budget sfx-heavy movies in the theater where they can be best appreciated. I don't watch too much TV. I enjoy Mythbusters. I don't watch "reality tv" - but I don't mind if you do.I've never been really good at sports, and never cared to watch any of them. If you like watching them, I don't mind, but please don't expect me to go see the game somewhere.I love to learn about new things, and how to do new things. I want to be a "maker" - building new things and figuring out how to fix things : making my life better by creating solutions to problems.I don't particularly like big crowds or loud parties. I'd much rather hang out with a few good friends and just chat and joke and enjoy each others company. If you love going out to a club and dancing I'm probably not a good match.I have been working in my job for about 10 years. Because I'm often on-call, my schedule can be weird: some nights and weekends.I'm a very trusting person, and not prone to jealousy. I'm fine with you having friends of any gender and having "you time" with those friends. I'm a very open person. If you ask me a question, I will answer it. I don't get offended easily by personal questions.I'm also a bit dense when it comes to hints. If you want something, TELL me. Otherwise I might just not realize you want it!I'm looking for someone with whom to go places and do things. Someone who has a life, and wants to share hers with me, as I want to share mine with her. Nerdy/goofy/geeky/quirky are all great! Similar interests would be awesome. And I'd love to have someone who would like to participate on DIY projects and tinkering and the like. I'm looking for a partner in life - someone to work together with to navigate the good times and bad times. I hope that it will be done soon so I can close that chapter of my life.I have 4 kids living at home, all 16 and up. They pretty much have their own lives and are self sufficient... usually... If you've gotten through this long, dense block of text, and I sound like someone you'd like to talk to, please drop me a line! Somewhere quiet so we could talk and get to know each other and see if we "click".
