I woke this morning with every intention of writing a new personal ad filled with keen insights and witty narrative. After sitting here for what seemed an eternity and more cross outs on the page than words I decided to lace up my nike’s and head to the gym. A good run should clear my head. Ok now I’ve knocked out 3.5miles and threw in a few pull-ups and abdominals for good measure, but still to my dismay I stare at a blank page. What I heard was so true, fabulous movie if you have not caught it yet I would highly recommend it, I would so go to see it again. Perhaps we can see it together? Ah but I digress, back to topic me, me, me and you. Where to start? What to include? How to tie it all together in a vibrant red bow? Do I start by saying “Curvy blond bombshell, fit (great abs)”… no, to conceited. Maybe I should add “looks great in a little black dress or sweat pants”.. no, to cliche. Wow would you look at the time, the whole day gone and I’ve only written 2 paragraphs and now it’s time for the game. Ok, so it looks like cliche is wining out… in closing compassionate, vibrant, sometimes verbose woman looking for her match. If you like pina colada’s and walks in the rain; hey if I’m going to be cliche I might as well go for it. Could this be you? Stop reading and hit the little envelope shaped button and let’s start the conversation because this has been so one sided! :) ***UPDATE: I've had a few people tell me that from my pictures and literacy level (somewhat confused on how that ties in) that I come across as "high maintenance". If taking care of myself emotionally, physically, intellectually and spiritually means high maintenance than I am guilty as charged. I would like to note though that I am not afraid to be seen in public with no make-up and rocking a ponytail... I'll leave that up to him..... Note - Sorry guys but only interested in men in my age range ***that I have things in common with (i.e. confident, bold, high energy level, active, attractive, intelligent, successful career, optimist, lighthearted, affectionate, compassionate, respectful, spontaneous, family oriented). I'm not your typical conventional girl. I'm not obsessed with shopping, there's nothing that I want I'm happy with what I have. I'm well mannered and well spoken, more reserved and modest than I may appear. I don't like a lot of mush. Don't like to be smothered too much too soon. I truly like things that would interest guys more than girls. I'm not high maintenance but sexy just the same probably more so. I was told by a stranger, a woman who sees me every day I look just as good without makeup as I do with since I rush out without it in the a.m. That's the biggest compliment a woman can pay another woman : ) I'm a very introspective person and well educated thanks to my mom and dad and enjoy reading up on many different topics. I'm inquisitive, if I'm not familiar with something I look it up. My parents have gotten along together 49 years now and I realize how a man and woman should treat each other. I haven't gone through what most my age have so I don't have any drama. I'm very uncomplicated and luckily always have been. Having too many expectations of someone is very unrealistic. I do dislike arrogance, don't want a man who is wrapped up in an image or feels he is above anyone. I would like to meet a compassionate man who likes the company of kids, older people and pets as well. Being a child of the 70's & I try to keep it that way as much as I can. Get along best with a man who isn't hyper and doesn't have to be doing something all the time. I have religious belief and a conscience and would like a man who does as well. I feel it's important to have time to yourself as well as together to keep your sense of identity and appreciation for each other. Chemistry is either there or not, you can't make it happen. At the risk of being blatantly honest if you can't see yourself sexually with someone than it isn't going to work. To me intellectual chemistry is equally important because that is going to supersede everything else over time. I find a guy with a little boy charm who knows when to be a man very appealing. You don't have to be Superman, you can be Batman, he was always my favorite. I like to have fun and joke around, I'm easy to talk to and enjoy hearing about your interests as well. I'm very relaxed and not into questions, it's just not my nature. It's not that I'm not interested but I don't think it matters, things start from this point forward. I'm not a particular type, I'm comfortable no matter whether I'm at a cozy lounge or jukebox bar. I'm self-sufficient, my motto is if you want a job done right do it yourself. I'm very creative and see the artistic quality in things. I love summertime, the beach, spending time with family and friends. I have a lot of respect for and I'm close with my family and hope that you place importance on that in your own life as well. I enjoy all eras of music, more so classic rock and 80's pop. I'm most content at this age with myself and I try to see the best of a situation because most things aren't as bad as they seem. It doesn't matter where a first date takes place, more importantly is the company, you can be anywhere and have a good time.
