First, I would like to apologize in advance to any of you fine gentlemen that may have been exposed to my first attempt at posting on meetville. In my defense, there were a number of rather coercive friends involved and quite possibly more than one or two bottles of wine. In the morning, with a slightly more sober head, I also discovered, much to my horror, that I had included some rather dreadful "selfies". I have no words. I keep asking myself what kind of weirdo hopes to find a date or even a friend on an internet webstie, but here I am again. I have decided to take the advice of my well meaning friends and give it a go. So from one weirdo to another, here it is. And I am actually going to write something intelligent -- because I can. To my friends, I have taken the plunge and "put myself out there again". This is on your shoulders. Even those that love me, will agree that I am difficult to describe. I am passionate about a lot things. My children. I have four of them, almost grown, and they are fantastic. I believe one of them may have had a hand in the first meetville disaster. I am not sure if I should ground her or thank her. Travel. I have been blessed with a cool job and an adventurous spirit that has enabled me to see the world - the good, the bad and the ugly. I love it all. Food. I am a self professed food snob which is not to say I only appreciate expensive food. Don't get me wrong, I love a great evening out at a fine restaurant, but I have also had my fair share of killer street food. I love to cook and my idea of a perfect evening is a kitchen full of hungry friends. Well, hungry friends that bring great wine - that is perfect. Sweat. Yeh, you heard me. I like to work out, play hard and get wet. Adventure. I am always willing to try new things and though I am famous for getting into trouble - falling off things (I am a bit of a spazz), getting into mischief or just finding myself in rather curious situations, I have not regrets. I may need constant supervision and protection, but I have no regrets. I appreciate great movies, though they are few and far between (the great ones) and I am always looking to read something new. I'm not a big fan of TV and find that I can usually find something much more productive to do with my time. I like most music, though I have to confess to a secret crush on Country. I may or may not have a very cool t- Design. I love great fashion and great design and I appreciate it even more when you don't spend a lot of money to achieve it. Words. I value great writing and I love to write. I am frustrated by pretence, intolerance and judgement. I am also not a big fan of diet soda, margarine, fast food, Walmart and bad shoes. Sadly, I am guilty of using and abusing them all, but I strive for better. I am just a simple human.A great guy? Someone who is smart, globally aware, travelled, open minded, and passionate. Someone who can laugh at themselves and, more importantly, laugh at me. You will definitely need to be able to do that. Someone who can make me laugh. Someone who will take risks, but also put time and effort in when it's needed. Someone who is fearless - or strives to be. I realize that's a tall order. Someone who would crash in a youth hostel and enjoy a bed with ***count sheets. Someone who loves food, but appreciates that life is about moderation - there may be a tread mill or bike ride at the end of your day. Someone who is honest - with themselves and those they love. Someone who knows who they are and likes themselves and someone who is always willing to learn something new. Someone who is headed in a positive direction: forward.And if that great guy becomes a great partner, I will fill in the blanks later. They aren't very complicated, but they are important. ;-) Or whatever!

Friends, family, ready to experience and learn new things, both at work and in my personal time. With working at a hospital I keep myself pretty busy with everything we do during the day and working second shift, but truth be told I do enjoy recharging my batteries by just sitting and relaxing especially if it is outside under the stars. I find that no matter how crazy or terrible your day may seem, if we remember to smile it won't be nearly as bad as we think and may even become a much better day!Leisure time...there just doesn't seem to be enough of this does there? :) But... One day my dream cabin will sit there but for now camping will have to due. Lol As for going out with the girls, I try to do the things I enjoy but understand many men do not. We see the Ballet, the occasional Opera, galleries, but the symphony under the stars is a favorite. Now if outside, I love to tinker in the garden when it isn't quite so hot, or maybe take a nice drive to no where or take that little dirt road you never see anyone on, just to see where it goes. If I have my evening choice, sitting outside relaxing looking up at the stars while holding hands with someone special or just a nice slow walk together talking about each others day would be perfect! If someone were to ask my choice of beach or country mountains? Country wins but still like to vacation on a beach time to time too. In a perfect world we would be able to do both by maybe having a weekend home close enough to drive to at a moments whim, yet far enough to be away from all the day to day stressers. Truth be told I enjoy both equally, but large old shady oak trees like on a Ranch listening to the sounds that can only be found here... the whinny of horses while soft breezes sway the grass in the pasture. Heaven on Earth. If horses are near, odds are you can find me leaning on the fence line talking to one...noooo they don't answer back! Lol I would love to meet someone with horses or that would think about one day having some.I am open, honest, and love to smile. Also I really would love to meet someone who loves outdoor fun things. Yes, I am a girlie girl who loves her high heels, but also knows how much fun kicking those off and playing in the dirt can be too. New to me is a ride in a truck or on the ATV which I learned from new a experience can get stuck even with 4 wheel drive...too funny..mud does was off but a Jimmy Choo is still out there in the mud...pout! But a nice evening have a nice fire outside under the stars are still in the top ten.The point I'm trying to make is, a perfect match for me would probably be a Tall strong southern gentleman...I do enjoy a touch of a southern accent but a NY accent just isn't my cup of tea. Sorry. (I suggest tall because I am 6'+" with heels and wear them whenever I'm not at the hospital ..hint a man at least 6' tall and over is very much to my appeal) Manners, strength, able to figure out life's challenges without loosing his temper, willing to go to the symphony once or twice a year even if he finds it boring as all heck because he wants and enjoys to be near me as much as I adore being near him. We all know how expensive day to day things in life can be, but the million moments spent with the right person...these are priceless! Good luck to us all to find that one person who truely makes each other happy! Say hi anytime! ~Karin First dates are for learning about each other. Long talks, laughter, just basicly seeing if there is spark and that special connection. I would say anywhere loud is not a great choice for this ever so important date, but I'm pretty easy to please so feel free to use your imagination...within respectful reason. Smile!
