About Me

I'm quite a bit different from most gals-most people even. I'm an Avid gardener, outdoors woman (as in I have a serious 'relationship' with the outdoors. (( Pioneered in the BC wilds for 1 yr, built log cabin, no outside contact, -.)), smart (duo masters) , very very playful, & mostly sane! An accomplished artist, adore most kids (wish i could have had more), fun mom I'm told (by my very cool 10 yr old), traveler ***countries), 13 yrs as expat in Jpn, good dancer, democrat, am goofy often (not weird- just goofy like sing a little opera baritone when I cook Italian), bold and blunt as is needed, love good food -espec sauces and seafood, have chickens (for the glee of it - have some that lay blue eggs), bunnies, a tabby, goldfish. Just dug a swim pond on my farm. (hmm, now what..) Guess what I get to research this winter by the fire? I'm also learning golf as a meditation. Relationship wisened. I am very loyal. I am 100% committed when I do commit (I was married a lovely 13 yrs and the 2nd was a big oops of 2 yrs). Know the joy of 'service' ( yea I figured something important out!!). 2nd degree is Master of Social Work (service).-, Sail as a lifestyle: Cat, herbs, and geraniums aboard, and of course my wonderful mate... because all this is scary. (And it's so much better to be scared together. Just holding hands is soooo under-rated)...any good playoffs, any quality music - all grand! I am happy in my life (it's been a lot of dedication, work, and dug up faith***and am looking for someone who is also happy, believes in magic, what you think is what you get, good morals, practices Empathy, not lazy, brave, knows they are are going to die, accepts and is a bit gritty and a bit sweet as all possible parts of character. I've noticed that I grow by being the best wife, mother, woman (&). I am not a fixed type of person and am "mutable" by nature and love the challenges and growth (Adaptation!) of being that way. Intelligence reserves the right to change it's mind frequently. Curiosity, creativity, and a genuine sense of play are essential. Have learned life is mostly perception. I think, by nature, I am never too serious & always serious, all at once. Belly laughter and touches are the love-o-meter my home. I know I need a cheerful mate who is a good: communicator, physical lover, thinker, dreamer, self aware and a do-er. Just friendship and sharing hobby/brains/ aptitudes or that 'special ka-zingggg one' ....both scenarios are welcomed. If you have substance issues, are abusive in any way-on any level, have a temper, lazy, depressed, dull, or just want to meet me because it just might be cool to do so, well.. then please carry on without me.     Several people have told me I'm not like most women but that would be your decision. It takes quite a bit to make me angry. I'd rather discuss it and make up than fight and not talk to each other. Like kiss me goodnight every night. Traveling is my utmost favorite--to see all the beauty of the world! Sometimes spending doing nothing at all is great also. Listening to music--I just love music: classic rock, country, jazz, oldies, some celtic/irish music, very little rap, and others. Recently went to the Zac Brown Band at Spac--awesome! I'm a grandmother of two grandaughters; just love it. Two sons age 30 and 26, my youngest son and I now share residence.If I do something that looks rediculous, I can laugh at myself and feel fine being laughed at if warranted. If I am close to you as a friend or partner, you know you can count on me to be there when you need me. Love adventure and quick get aways. Surprises are great also. Be sure that I will need MY time and time with my friends, but there are also family times and times to be alone with my partner. So let's be adventurous and go on a date!! ; I have packed a picnic lunch to share and possibly some games to play to develop conversation to get to know one another. Music will play just loud enough to add background effect to our picnic.

    A warm, attractive (so I've been told) woman with a quirky sense of humor. Have two wonderful children (one in college, one in high school).As to music, I like most genres, except country (I could be persuaded to try it in small doses, though) and rap. Want to get more into jazz and blues, and love classical and opera.I read for both work and pleasure, and am curious about just about everything. Love to learn about all aspects of life. A sense of humor is nice, but stand up-level comedy is not required (of course everyone here has a great sense of humor). I have no idea what constitutes drama or baggage, but whatever it is, I don't think I have them, or maybe just a manageable amount.I don't have any pets (2 cats used to own me), because of allergies (my kids', not my own), but I don't really mind yours as long as they are not bigger than me.The only hunting and fishing I do is at the supermarket. I really am a city girl. Hiking is great fun.I am fit but don't like the gym (treadmills are a necessary evil, particularly in winter), and prefer to walk outdoors. I don't follow sports teams at all (but don't mind if you do, within reason). Not bad at miniature golf.Speak several languages (Russian, Hebrew, some French, obviously English). Am culturally Jewish, but nonpracticing (except for the occasional bar mitzvah/wedding, etc.). A couple of back and forth messages should be enough. I think it's easier to communicate via phone to see if we want to meet. By the way, all the vital information is accurate, and I expect that yours is, too. I do reserve the right to change my hair color.I think the whole idea is to meet the right person and get off this site. So if you feel the same way, please write (and a bit more than "Hi" would be really nice). I don't understand the Meet Me feature, so if you want to actually meet, a message is the best way. A terrific first meeting would be getting together for a drink or dinner at a quiet place and talk, somewhere where we would not be rushed. A walk in the park would be lovely, except if it's cold. Learning about each other and seeing if there is a connection, then realizing we've been there for hours. Making plans to see each other again. And then actually having that second, third, and fourth date.
