I got kicked off this site about a month ago due to inactivity. Guess I better start checking in! :)I'm really just checking this out - pretty independent, and I absolutely love my life, but every once in awhile wonder why I don't try a little harder to meet new people. I'm self employed, running a non-profit which leads teams of volunteers to areas of disaster relief or to assist with ongoing humanitarian projects, domestically and abroad. I have two daughters in college, and a granddaughter who I am MADLY in love with! I love to have fun, love to eat, love to laugh, and I definitely don't take life too seriously. I rarely have a bad hour much less a bad day. I read and play tennis in my spare time, as well as watch A LOT of football during football season. Pretty much how I spend every Sunday. I've not been married for 15 years by choice. I really love my life so much that it would take an absolutely amazing situation to get me to make a change. But I do have faith in God's plan for me and my future, so I'm fine either way.My degree is in Christian Ministries and I'm a former youth minister, and then went into full time missions, however, I'm probably one of the few liberal Christians you might meet. Politics sadden me, because I don't believe Jesus sees us in terms of borders, and I don't think He would appreciate us treating each other that way. That statement is about as political as I'll ever get. I read about three books a week and love to talk about them. Also LOVE to cook, and if I do say so myself, I'm pretty darn good at it! :) I don't make a ton of money being self employed, and really don't care. It is definitely not what drives me. My three girls are my life, and I'm incredibly lucky to say that my daughters would consider me their best friend. They are by far the coolest people on the planet!

The most recent from May.Update: You know, I have always wondered about people who post "updates" to their profiles. lol Sometimes what they have to say can be downright negative. I have not wanted to do this because that is just not who I am at my core. But after having been on this site for a little bit, I am amazed at all the guys that feel the need to lie. Don't say you are looking for a relationship when all you are looking for is a hook up. Don't say you are single or separated when you are out and out married. It really makes you wonder whether or not there are honest people out there. And, I realize that this is not just a male phenomenon***I hear from enough guys that women on here lie too, so I am not man bashing for sure. But, if you decide to contact me, please just be honest and I will be too!Oh.....and guys....."just say no" to the bathroom shots......OK? If you're gonna "peek" at the profile, then why not at least say "Hi" ;) What can I say about lil' 'ol me? :) I'm really enjoying this part of my life even though I never thought I'd be here again (in the single arena that is) I'm a very fun-loving, caring, protective person. I will go to the ends of the earth for those that I care about!! I grew up in So Cal and miss putting my toes in the sand. (And no, the Great Salt Lake does not count as a beach!! lol) I enjoy long walks, sunsets and sunrises, fireplaces (or firepits), they are all very relaxing to me (not bad for holding hands or cuddling either ;) ). Here's to meeting new people and making some new friends...hope to chat with you soon :) ciao I really like going to the movies, but not so much for a first date. I more enjoy something where we could talk and get to know each other...maybe dinner, a comedy club, a REAL game, car shows...when they're in town or even test driving cars
