I am an outgoing people person, down to earth and easy going. I'm curious by nature and love to learn new things and explore. I am young at heart and very active for my age I hope you are too! I am a girl with many diverse interests; I enjoy live music, art, culture and love to dance. I like sports, adventure, and traveling too. I teach Special Education and I am passionate about what I do. I think most people take for granted the impact they have on others. Giving back and making a difference is both necessary and rewarding. Naturally, I am a nurturer, patient and kind, thoughtful, affectionate and generous to a fault my friends say. I’m low maintenance, and not one who likes drama. I'm loyal, independent, responsible, and I do what I say I'm going to do. I am somewhat of a tom boy, but also enjoy being feminine, dressing up for a fun night out and classing it up regardless of the occasion. I can appreciate the finer things in life, but really am a simple girl that is as easily pleased by a nice sunset and picnic.I’m pretty creative, and inspired by artists in general. I love museums; art shows thrift stores, flea market and fairs. I’m a do it yourselfer at home with painting and the yards. It helps to keep me busy.;B, Blues and Country, but not much of a heavy metal or rap lover.I’ve been both successful and struggled to get by, known happiness and experienced great losses, but continue to be the eternal optimist and recognize the power of positive thinking. I’m happy with life and thankful for my many blessings, but having a meaningful person to cherish would be a gift.I'm looking to meet someone who is active, smart, thoughtful, patient and kind.     I got kicked off this site about a month ago due to inactivity. Guess I better start checking in! :)I'm really just checking this out - pretty independent, and I absolutely love my life, but every once in awhile wonder why I don't try a little harder to meet new people. I'm self employed, running a non-profit which leads teams of volunteers to areas of disaster relief or to assist with ongoing humanitarian projects, domestically and abroad. I have two daughters in college, and a granddaughter who I am MADLY in love with! I love to have fun, love to eat, love to laugh, and I definitely don't take life too seriously. I rarely have a bad hour much less a bad day. I read and play tennis in my spare time, as well as watch A LOT of football during football season. Pretty much how I spend every Sunday. I've not been married for 15 years by choice. I really love my life so much that it would take an absolutely amazing situation to get me to make a change. But I do have faith in God's plan for me and my future, so I'm fine either way.My degree is in Christian Ministries and I'm a former youth minister, and then went into full time missions, however, I'm probably one of the few liberal Christians you might meet. Politics sadden me, because I don't believe Jesus sees us in terms of borders, and I don't think He would appreciate us treating each other that way. That statement is about as political as I'll ever get. I read about three books a week and love to talk about them. Also LOVE to cook, and if I do say so myself, I'm pretty darn good at it! :) I don't make a ton of money being self employed, and really don't care. It is definitely not what drives me. My three girls are my life, and I'm incredibly lucky to say that my daughters would consider me their best friend. They are by far the coolest people on the planet!

    Thanks for stopping by,I am a proud mother of two beautiful children; my son is now 18 and my daughter is now 20, wow time sure flies, they both still live at home and out of high school with jobs.My most favorite things to do is spending time with my children as much as possible, sitting on my porch watching the sun go down and my two dogs play - with a nice glass of wine.
