About Me

I have spent my life wondering whether or not a "soal mate" is something that everyone deserves and will end up having...if they are lucky. I beleive that there is so much more to deep love than most people are willing to explore and I don't want to waste another minute denying myself of a connection that goes beyond superficial relationships. I have experienced true love and it has ruined me for those who haven't. I will search until I find someone who knows me and loves me for who I am, appreciates my sense of humor, shares my love of great food and good books and is quick to empathize and slow to judge. I have a lot to offer the right man. My last child lives with me during the week and the others are grown. I appreciate the finer things in life (Family Guy, Anchorman and other crazy comedies), but the simple things in life are just as exciting when experienced with the right person. I shy away from drama whenever possible. I like to sourround myself with people who are easy going and care about each other. My friendships are deep and my family bonds are charished. No married men, abusers, crazies or any men with too much baggage. Everyone has some baggage, but too much is just that. I am romantic and sometimes mushy- with the right guy. Funny equals wonderful...BONUS! You absolutely MUST make me laugh. I promise you that I will do the same in return. I would love to take a dance lesson, a walk through the Zoo when Zoo-Lights opens, a nice hot loaf of French bread, a bottle of wine and an assortment of cheeses would all be great options for me. Some place where we could really talk and get to know eachother. I love to fish and I'm pretty good at it.

    Hi there! Thanks for stopping by. These things are difficult to write, so I’m going to make a list *** paragraphs. Here goes...Ten interesting, weird, quirky things about me:1.) My three kids mean to world to me. My younger two still live at home, but are moving out in January. 2.) I only eat plain M&Ms in even numbers…I don’t eat those very often though. Peanut M&Ms on the other hand…those are shoveled in with abandon!3.) I cannot be trusted around cake.4.) I love, love, LOVE rock climbing, but I took a nasty fall last June and suffered a serious concussion. It’s taken so long to heal; I had no idea. I always wear a helmet when I lead climb, but for some reason, I didn’t that day. It’s the first time I’ve taken a spill 5.) In some of my pictures I have longish hair, in some pictures, short. It is currently short. They had to shave my head in the emergency room after I fell because I had a big open wound on the back of my head. Just kidding…I did have a big open wound on the back of my head, but they left it alone. I just decided to get it cut short…not sure if I’m going to keep it short.6.) I have Christian beliefs, but I don’t believe in a literal interpretation of the Bible. I rarely with see things in black and white. I believe that limits God somewhat...I don't believe that His love and grace can be explained in simple terms; it's so much more than any of us can fathom! 7.) I have a very weird, some might say inappropriate, sense of humor. I love to take a mundane idea/thought and run with it to the point of ridiculousness.8.) I am the youngest of 7. And no, I am not a brat…regardless of what my siblings say!9.) I lost my big brother a little over a year ago; he was in a kayaking accident. It has been a nightmare, but it has made me more appreciative of every moment and every breath.10.) I value honesty and integrity and seek someone who values the same.11.) I am muscular and have an athletic build, but I am not tiny. I’m honest about how I look, I expect the same in return. I’ve dated men who are the same height as me…that's not an issue. What bothers me is when a man says he’s a certain height...say 5'10" or so, and when I meet him, he’s the same height as me. If you're less than honest about something so obvious….it could make someone wonder what else you might be less than honest about... 12.) Oops…I said 10 things…okay…just one more.13.) I am not looking for a gym rat, but I do want someone who takes care of himself….loving the outdoors is a must! What an amazingly beautiful place we live in!I look forward to hearing from you!
