About Me

So whats a gal like me doing on POF? Curiosity, boredom, seeking interesting conversation, maybe a new friend in life, preferably no enemies, and on the off chance of meeting that intriguing person that sets off a spark.I am divorced and single. I am alone, but not lonely (which also means I am not desperate). I have learned to be comfortable with myself. I am pretty well balanced, down to earth chick you meet in a grocery store in old jeans and a t shirt. I have a positive outlook in life. I am one of those who will easily start a conversation with someone in line.I enjoy nature, (amateur) photography, friends and family, theme parks, reading, people watching, long easy conversations, sarcasm, laughter (a must!), good movies, planting and digging in the dirt (love the feel and scents of nature) scrabble, yatzee, impulse outings, not worrying about looking and acting perfect, but *** comfortable, and respectable, alright and silly! I like to have fun, be in positive atmospheres. (I will try to lighten too serious moods.) I need to have time alone to myself to refresh and unwind. I am very empathetic, this time alone is necessary for me. I enjoy "hanging out" with my teenagers, though they are now at that age where hanging out with mom isn't as important. Which is probably for the best as I want to attach them to a rocket aimed at the moon more and more often...That's normal, right? Teenagers really dont make much sense and when they do, not only is it totally fascinating, but a little scary... just where did you learn that and when??I have experienced true love, loss, betrayal, death of family members, lay offs, reality checks and single parenting, and here I am, stronger and more confident. I have avoided relationships or involvement because I have been thru Hell, but have had it easy compared to others. The idea of a broken heart again really helps me keep people at a distance. And that is really hard to overcome. Playing games is not my style, I am pretty straight forward, and honest. I am old.fashioned, I have good morals. I'm not a one nighter. What would I Like to see in a man? Someone confident and at ease with himself, with nothing to prove. Someone mature, but still a kid at heart. Comfortable in jeans and Ts, groomed, not necessarily polished, someone who has a past, but has used it to move to a better place in life, and not a dead weight dragged around. Someone who is secure enough that sitting in silence is comfortable for him. I appreciate a door opened for me, and arm to loop mine through, someone smart about life, someone who can banter and carry on easy conversation without having to work at it. I have a past. I am very hesitant to meet someone in person. I would like to get an idea of who you are, your thoughts, and feelings, and idea of how you perceive the world.     full time mom to my 2 teenage daughters who are my world ..if that's a problem then there's an issue already ... I'm also a college student as well as my my job ..
