About Me

I love to cook when I have people to feed, dance when I have a partner to teach me, sing when nobody can hear me and laugh, even when I don't have others to do it with.I have lived abroad and would love to again, despite being a native Californian. I love to travel and if I had to live out of a suitcase, I could.....but not forever! I have friends all over the world, literally. I'd love to fill another passport and go visit them all. I like making a house a home. I enjoy entertaining. My house often has laughter in it and it will stay that way! I have a love of laughter and a sarcastic/snarky sense of humor. I'd rather play a sport or watch it in a stadium than on TV. I can appreciate all sports, but 5 hours in front of the TV isn't really my thing. Even during the Super Bowl I need to have a distraction. I truly enjoy going to a game and the one thing I'm passionate about are good teams with a lot of heart, like the Red Sox. If you're a Yankees fan, this may be bad! I have family and friends all over SoCal, so I'm often taking mini-road-trips to LA, OC and the desert. It may be cliche, but I really am up for anything. I'll try it once! It leads to great stories. I have stories too! I pride myself on being a great conversationalist. I talk to anybody, anywhere, even if we don't speak the same language!I'd like to find someone to share my life with...the good, the bad AND the ugly. I've done life alone for quite a while, so sharing it sounds more fun :) I say, we all have our own quirks and "baggage"....I'm just looking for someone with coordinating luggage. I'm looking for someone who wants a partner. Someone with balance. If you're still reading, here's some nitty-gritty for you: I am honest. I don't sugar-coat. I don't lie for the sake of making someone feel ok/better/unharmed. I think too many people have too thin a skin and get offended entirely too easily. Lighten up!! I won't lie to you. You may say it's brutal honesty, but when did it become "brutal" to be truthful? I should mention I abhor cats. I don't drink milk or eat sour cream. I love vegetables but couldn't live without meat. I sing in the car, but not the shower. I transform to a major goffball around kids, even when adults are looking. I think having similar political and religious views is pivotal to a solid relationship. Agreeing on every single item isn't neccessary, but a foundation of similarity is important. If you aren't, we may not mesh well. I would not call my self a Republican (I didn't vote for Obama OR McCain, but I did vote!) but I am conservative on some issues. Politically I am left of right and right of left, just not an intermediate! :) If you can't respectfully have a discussion of topics and feel it vital for your match to be a leftwing Democrat, I am not her.     First off...Just because you work out doesnt give you the right to put Athletic as your body type! Just saying...Now how do i describe myself without scaring you off? .I am recently widowed. I was with my wonderful husband for 11years. It was sudden and tragic. That doesn't make me "A scarred woman with issues" it means I'm slightly "tattered with potential" I guess you could say. I am pretty much new to this whole single \ dating thing. So, if you are a patient man, you won't be disappointed. For the most part i am a confident woman. I, of course have my moments but they do not last long. They say that you are your most Spiritual when you are between chaos and comfort. And I have definitely been thrown into that scenario. In fact, I'm kinda enjoying the thrill of it. I am an artist, the emotion for me creates an abundant pallet for me to choose from when creating my art. I pride myself on my ability to not take things personally...most of the time (I am a woman so depending on that oh so wonderful time of the month...but for the most part I am pretty laid back. (Yes boys...I just mentioned the "period" thing. Can't deny I got one. Might as well put it out there.)) "A real woman is fully aware of her flaws and weaknesses, yet she strong enough to admit them and not be embarrassed by them." My flaws are (didn't think you'd see this on a chicks profile did you?!): I am an Aquarius, so yes I do think I am right most of the time but don't worry, I will let you win sometimes too. I am a woman therefore I am complex to a point. I am overweight., even though I don't really care what anybody thinks, it is effecting my health so I am doing something about it and have lost almost 60 pounds. "Getting back to breading weight" my husband would say. Lol. I smoke. I wanted to be popular in jr high...nasty habit and I'm working on quitting. Surprisingly I am shy at first but once I warm up I'm awesome. I don't paint my fingernails because i work with dirty things. So that is me, in a very small box. Now what you get outside this box....your just going to have to contact me and see ;) I can be entertained in almost any situation. So please, don't be shy. I also don't believe that going to see a movie is a good idea on a first date because it isnt the best way to get to know someone (unless its porn...but that's kinda a 3rd date kinda thing to do ---just a taste of my wonderful humor. Lol)
