About Me

I am wanting to take things very slowly at this point. I am still pretty fresh out of a relationship and in the healing phase. I don't have a lot of free time, as I work a lot and spend a lot of time with my family, but when I get the time, I enjoy hanging out with friends, shooting pool, and singing karaoke (that's definitely not all I enjoy doing, but given the time of day that my free time usually occurs, that's what I end up doing). **A side note: you must be able to actually hold a conversation to catch my attention.I plan on adding things as they come to mind, so please bear with me...this profile is a work in progress...I want to find someone that has similar interests as me. Someone who is trustworthy. Having a job is important, because it shows responsibility. (I currently work 2 jobs...one for almost ***years, and the other for almost 8 years) I do have children, so you must be kid-friendly. I don't mind if you have a kid (or kids), but I do not/cannot have any more. If you harm my children, I WILL hurt you!Religious preference does not bother me, but please do not push your views on me...I am not quite sure what I am at this point, but I do believe in treating others as you wish to be treated.....karma can be a b*!ch if you make the wrong choices, but she can be your best friend as well...You must be musically open. I love ALL styles of music, and my mood/what happens to be on the radio tends to determine what I am listening to at any given moment. I have played piano, cello, and guitar, but no longer practice any form of music except singing due to physical ailments. But none-the-less, music has played a huge part in my life. Intelligence is important to me, as it can be boring to be with someone of an either higher or lesser intelligence-levelI'm definitely one-of-a-kind (although, aren't we all really?)....i'm a little bit country, a little bit rock-n-roll.....and a few other things tossed in for an interesting mix.I like to keep my house tidy, although that can sometimes be tough between children and work......are you bored yet? lol......I'm a single child, raised by split parentsI am not homophobic, prejudiced, or close-minded in any way, and anyone I date must share that similarity.I am completely open and honest (sometimes to a fault) when asked a question, but tend to be guarded until I trust a person. I do drink (socially, for the most part), and I smoke marijuana (I do have my medical permit), so if that is a problem, please refrain from messaging me (but just because I do, doesn't mean you have to).I recently quit smoking cigarettes on ***. So, anyone I date must also be a non-smoker. I do not wish to ever start back up again. This is all I can think of at this time...One more thing to add at this point. Communication is key to ANY kind of relationship... I don't want to go on any dates, but hanging out and singing karaoke sounds like fun to me :) ...of course, I am open to ideas....

    I love to cook when I have people to feed, dance when I have a partner to teach me, sing when nobody can hear me and laugh, even when I don't have others to do it with.I have lived abroad and would love to again, despite being a native Californian. I love to travel and if I had to live out of a suitcase, I could.....but not forever! I have friends all over the world, literally. I'd love to fill another passport and go visit them all. I talk to anybody, anywhere, even if we don't speak the same language!I'd like to find someone to share my life with...the good, the bad AND the ugly. I've done life alone for quite a while, so sharing it sounds more fun :) I say, we all have our own quirks and "baggage"....I'm just looking for someone with coordinating luggage. I'm looking for someone who wants a partner. Someone with balance. If you're still reading, here's some nitty-gritty for you: I am honest. I don't sugar-coat. I don't lie for the sake of making someone feel ok/better/unharmed. I think too many people have too thin a skin and get offended entirely too easily. Lighten up!! I won't lie to you. You may say it's brutal honesty, but when did it become "brutal" to be truthful? I should mention I abhor cats. I don't drink milk or eat sour cream. I love vegetables but couldn't live without meat. I sing in the car, but not the shower. I transform to a major goffball around kids, even when adults are looking. I think having similar political and religious views is pivotal to a solid relationship. Agreeing on every single item isn't neccessary, but a foundation of similarity is important. If you aren't, we may not mesh well. I would not call my self a Republican (I didn't vote for Obama OR McCain, but I did vote!) but I am conservative on some issues. Politically I am left of right and right of left, just not an intermediate! :) If you can't respectfully have a discussion of topics and feel it vital for your match to be a leftwing Democrat, I am not her.     Hey! I have an awesome 8 yr old daughter that lives with me most of the time. I love football (Go Broncos!!!!), I like going to movies, dinner, the theater or doing just about anything as long as I'm with someone. I work a lot during the week so I try to keep my weekends free for whatever comes up. I'm mainly looking for a considerate, personable and easy going guy.
