About Me

Well lets see, I am a single mother to a hansome young man, and work at our family business. I am family oriented and they are a large part of my life. I attend church regularly and have a strong faith in God. I stay pretty active and love being outdoors. I enjoy surfing, playing kickball and softball, taking walks and running. I am very spontanious and enjoy living life. I enjoy watching sports, but prefer to be there live to watch them...I also love to travel and just see all the beautiful things this world has to offer. My perfect date would be something outdoors that doesnt involve me touching anything slimy...(ill fish but dont take off my catch). I love, love, love to go to live bands or concerts anywhere they are playing and theatre productions. My genre would have to be country, but im always open to new ideas and musical taste. To put it simply, Im a girly girl who doesnt mind hanging with the guys on game day and then getting dolled up for a special evening with my hunny... Anything out doors or out of the norm...dinner and a movie is nice but i like creativity

Soo...I'm an English teacher. A pretty stereotypical one, too: book nerd, grammar nazi, post-it hoarder, red pen connoisseur, owner of a ridiculous number of cardigans. My job is super important to me (and really time-consuming/exhausting) but I'm trying to find the right balance between being a great educator and having an actual life outside the building. Two deal-breakers right out of the gate (sorry for going negative so early in the campaign...) but because of my job I don't have much patience for grown men who act like the teenagers I spend all day around, and I will judge you for bad grammar. I can't help it. (Sorry?) However, I promise I'm not anti-fun - part of my job is entertaining kids all day and I have a sarcastic, dorky, silly sense of humor. I have a pretty deep well of Animal Farm and Lord of the Flies jokes, and I love a bad pun. Anywho. Family is very important to me. We're freakishly functional and very close. My parents have been together for over three decades and they're an inspiration in all kinds of ways. I'm also pretty proud to say I'm building up a good network of friends up here - I'm most definitely an introvert, so making friends isn't the easiest for me, but I've stumbled into a great group and I couldn't be happier about that. I love history, music, going to plays and museums, stuff like that. I'm up for exploring, love road trips and travel in general, but I also enjoy just relaxing and hanging out. I'm looking for someone who's easy to talk to, kind, generous, smart and funny. Are you that somebody? (Ugh, that sounded cheesy. Whatever.) Hi. I'd love to go somewhere subdued and laid back (crowded and noisy clubs/bars are what hell is like, I'm pretty sure) where a good conversation can take place. A stroll around town is great, as is a picnic, going to a museum, historical walking tours, wine tastings, stuff like that is my favorite.

I've decided to start a new chapter in my life....I'm back in school. I currently have a degree in engineering but didn't like what I was doing so I'm getting a degree in accounting, eventually planning on an MBA. Having a good sense of humor is key! I have a dry, sarcastic sense of humor and most people can't relate. I like to have fun and laugh. I can be a bit shy at first but have no fear, I loosen up quickly.I love the outdoors, mostly in the summer. I'll try anything new and exciting at least once (get your mind out of the gutter... ;-)
