Looking for: man. In age: 25-35
Disclaimer:I'm not the kind of person to write novels back-and-forth, and to be perfectly honest, I find most people to be too boring to invest that much time and effort into. I would much prefer to just meet, hang out, and see what happens. If you want to meet up, just ask. I'll most likely say yes. Anyone that sends me a mundane message (i.e. "hi, how are you?) will be *** guess that makes me an an ***hole, but I am sick of feigning interest in uninteresting people. Now that that's out of the way....I'm what most people would consider "geeky" That being said, I'm pretty outgoing and I love to go out and meet new people and discover new scenes. If no one wants to go out, then a fun night for me is grabbing a book, heading down to a cheap bar, and making some new friends, or having a picnic in the park. I'm adventurous and spontaneous and I'll always take on a bet or a dare, no matter how stupid.*** I've been told repeatedly that I'm an "old soul"- Sure, I guess. *** Very into Art, Philosophy, Psychology, Politics, Cultural Studies, and I would much rather sit on a couch and have a stimulating debate/discussion than go to a swanky club. *** Love to travel-done most of Europe and Northern Africa. Up next is Vietnam in the fall. Travel for me is a backpack, guide book, and making friends with the locals. I don't do "sun tanning on the beach" or "5-star resorts". *** I love to read-- being some of my most watched. Don't watch a lot of TV, but I love Mad Men, Shameless, and Game of Thrones.*** Huge Gaming nerd-mostly just play RPGs- Skyrim, Dragon Age, FallOut, etc.*** Music is jazz, blues, punk, ska, rockabilly- *** I'm a pretty simple person who appreciates the small things that most people overlook. Money isn't all that important to me, but I do respect and admire people who have a direction in life (this doesn't mean a "career"- I would be cool with dating someone who really loved their job but were poor), but more so applies to a direction in life-they know what they want and go after it. *** I'm pretty socially and politically conscious and I would like to date a guy who is as well- and someone who doesn't get defensive or turned off by the fact that I have feminist/socialist tendencies.*** I am VERY independent. I want someone who will be ok with us having "separate lives, together". I will never get mad if you want to go out with your buddies. In fact, I'll probably offer to pick up the tab if it means I get some time to myself. On that note, any guy who is threatened by a driven, successful woman need not apply. *** Oh and I JUST got a cell phone and joined the rest of civilization a couple of months ago- I really hate people who are attached to their phones via umbilical cord. I use mine to call people....and that's pretty much it (how novel!). I don't get this whole *** I don't need you to tell me that it's snowing outside- I have a window and legs. For someone who's fairly tech/culturally savvy, I really am not interested in this kind of stuff AT ALL. It should also be noted that I'd rather eat cheeseburgers than work out-pretty much the only running I do is if someone scary is chasing me, or when it's an emergency and I need Cheetos ASAP. It's great if you like to hit the gym, but don't expect me to (unless it's to stand there eating a hot dog and offering words of encouragement while you sweat it out). What I am looking for:While I don't really have a "type", I guess I do prefer a "guy's guy"-someone who doesn't shave every day, wears jeans and t-shirts and doesn't know or care about trends, likes being outdoors and roughing it, and doesn't post pics of his abs on his dating profile. I am not a fan of the "club kids" or boys who wear gel in their hair. I like dorky/quirky/and not "pretty" guys- and I don't care if you're not in the best physical shape. Looks are not terribly important, but intelligence is. Anyone who can't spell or follow the basic principles of grammar will be ***'ve been told that I can be rather intimidating (in that I don't suffer fools and am pretty vocal about it), so I find it very attractive when a guy isn't afraid to put me in my place or challenge me. Sarcasm and a dry, sardonic wit are definite turn- ons. This isn't really anything to do with my profile but there's just something I have to get off my chest. If your profile pic is of you staring deadpan into the camera, looking like a serial rapist, in what is visibly a dingy basement with copious computer equipment in the background, then please don't put, "looking for THE ONE" as your caption. Some of you are making me want to hide and take out restraining orders. Leave your web cam alone, go out into the real world, make a friend, ask them to take a photo of you in, oh I don't know...natural sun light? Smile, and upload. You're welcome. Let's go drink our faces off and pretend to care about what the other person is saying, all the while planning our exit strategies and wondering whether Pizza Pizza delivers that late.Or, whatever people do on a first date.

First and foremost, if you ask for sex, I'm going to block you. If you say creepy sh*tabout my appearance, also blocking you. I'm not some trashy whore, and I will not talk to anyone who regards me as such.I'm beginning to think that most people are incapable of seeking anything with substance due to their own negativity. The amount of negative messages I receive and people quick to think they're being rejected if I don't respond, is quite astounding. I don't really know why one would be that sensitive to a lack of response from a complete stranger, especially when a lack of response can mean many things, most of which aren't even personal.. Going to work on this but in the meantime here's some cautionary tales.I'm sort of a "creative" type in the sense that my imagination leads to some outlandish thoughts and yes, I do have a rather offbeat sense of humor complete with the occasional sarcasm.I just find it incredibly difficult to meet people, let alone anyone I can connect with. So, friends. I seek them. Maybe dating. Maybe. Depends who you are. If you're just going based on looks, we won't work. I place a higher value on personality and intelligence and all of those other things. If you get all creepy on me, VANISH. If you're focused on sex, also, go away. Also if all you say is "hi" or "sup" or a terrible pickup line, it's a guarantee I won't respond. Because I have messages with under 50 characters blocked because when you have over ***messages of just "HI" and nothing at all to really set them apart, its a bit overwhelming even thinking about responding to all of them. Therefore, I figure if someone is actually interested in getting to know ME *** just throwing out dozens of 'hi' messages and just praying that ANY FEMALE AT ALL will reply, I'd rather make it a bit easier on myself. I also block people looking for "intimate encounters." If I can also discern you sent me a copy and pasted message, I also won't either because IDK from my point of view that sort of reeks of desperation thrown at just anyone at all and that's a waste of my time. FIRING LASERS AT THE ENEMYAlso, you should be okay with the fact that I'm vegetarian AND gluten free! Also please be relatively intelligent and be capable of conversation. BLANK STARES ARE SORT OF OFF-PUTTING.

I am a down to earth girl that tends to meet the wrong people. I am passionate about my career and expanding my knowledge. I am going back to school and I work full time. I can be shy at times but I will definitely surprise you if you give me a chance to open up. If you want to know more, message me! For a first date something casual like drinks and conversation.
