About Me

My life has been pretty hectic in recent years, but I'm ready to meet that special someone. I am a single mother with one child who is six years old, and his needs will always be my priority. My parents are really good about watching him for me when needed. I would like to find someone who is content with their life and knows that the people you love is what is really important at the end of the day. I like to camp, hike, and canoe when the weather is nice, and don't mind getting my hands dirty. I would describe myself as a laid-back, kind, hard- working, independent, and open-minded person. I'm all about relaxation after a long work- week and love to have a few beers and watch a good movie, especially if it is an old black and white one (movies from the 40s are my favorite). I enjoy reading, intelligent conversation and anything that has to do with history. I also enjoy going to antique shops. I am looking for someone that is tolerant, modest, responsible, and kind. I am not looking for someone wanting an intimate encounter. I have a long history of having friends and family "leaning on me" a lot, and I have no problem playing this role for the people I love. But it would be nice to have someone sturdy to lean on at times as well. I can be a little shy at first, but open- up once I have proof you are normal =-).
