My life has been pretty hectic in recent years, but I'm ready to meet that special someone. I am a single mother with one child who is six years old, and his needs will always be my priority. My parents are really good about watching him for me when needed. I would like to find someone who is content with their life and knows that the people you love is what is really important at the end of the day. I like to camp, hike, and canoe when the weather is nice, and don't mind getting my hands dirty. I would describe myself as a laid-back, kind, hard- working, independent, and open-minded person. I'm all about relaxation after a long work- week and love to have a few beers and watch a good movie, especially if it is an old black and white one (movies from the 40s are my favorite). I enjoy reading, intelligent conversation and anything that has to do with history. I also enjoy going to antique shops. I am looking for someone that is tolerant, modest, responsible, and kind. I am not looking for someone wanting an intimate encounter. I have a long history of having friends and family "leaning on me" a lot, and I have no problem playing this role for the people I love. But it would be nice to have someone sturdy to lean on at times as well. I can be a little shy at first, but open- up once I have proof you are normal =-). I think going out for a few drinks is a good idea just to see if we click.

UPDATE #1* no matter how convincing you think you are, your not. The no booty call thing is a concrete idea, and no matter how nice I think you are my panties will not miraculously fall to the floor*UPDATE #2* I swear im not being picky but if you have a serious mental disorder please really think before messaging me. I work in a place that i have to deal with that kinda stuff all day and id prefer not to come home to make sure the person im with has taken thier meds too.**this is not a dig on anyone that has a disorder of any kind just a preference. If you look up in a dictionary abnormal(in regards to psychology) it will say anything away from the normal, well there is no definition to normal, so basically we are all abnormal. circular argument at its best. lol. But I'm a firm believer in it. I hope my updates don't offend anyone because that wasn't the intention.UPDATE #3* I've recently been told that I should put something on here about what I'm looking for in a guy. Well theres one small problem with that, If I knew exactly what I wanted I wouldn't have any of the disastrous dates and relationships I've had so far. Also I'm one of those people that think no one ever knows what they what, I mean people think they know what they want but it never ends up being what they need. So in short I want what every girl wants a nice guy who treats me right and visa versa, someone I have things in common with, someone who will put up going to girly movies every once in awhile even though he'd rather watch some gory horror flick( which I love too btw), someone who has a decent job and drivable vehicle, lol, all the other stuff I want or need is something I think is interchangeable depending on the situation. No one should have a list of ideals or personality traits or you might end up passing up some really wonderful people because your sticking to an imaginary ideal person.***************************************************************************************************************never sure what to write on here but here it goes. I just recently graduated from school and got my first really decent job. The club scene is so not cutting it anymore though, for those of you reading this and hoping for a booty call move on cuz while I have no problem with them or people who are just interested in them, for right now though thats not what I'm interested in.Okay now that thats outa the way on to less dreary topics or more dreary depending on your personality :),umm I love animals and have a habit of taking in injured wildlife although I've toned that down quite a bit. I have a 4yr old English bulldog and a rottie both of which are in the above pics. I take alot of art classes and stuff since I only work 3 days a week, mainly 3-d art, but anything thats new and looks like it might be fun and interesting to try I'm up for. Music. . . .now theres something that peeves a whole bunch of my friends, I love music but for the life of me I couldnt tell you who sings what, just isnt that important to me. I have the odd habit of occasionally using made up words *** swear words i think it comes from working a bit in the pediatrics field. I have 6 tattoos: fairy, dragon, lion cub, tiger, rose and a new one that isnt quite finished yet of a garter belt and derringer(?). So if your not into people who have ink then I'm probably not your girl, and I have one piercing. Oh and I kinda get bored real easy I've had so many jobs during my quest to find the right one that I can barely remember all of them, I think thats enough for now. Oops, one additional note: I need a guy whos not afraid of public dispays of affection both receiving and giving.
