Looking for: man. In age: 30-40
Hi there! Welcome to my profile~ I think that life is too short to be taken too seriously but also one should be open to finding love and a special connection, even if its online. Being a busy person I haven't had much luck trying to meet people and the dating pool is very small here, so I figured I'd give this a shot. I'm an optimist that needs to believe that my special person is out there and I need to at least meet the Universe half-way on making an effort in finding him. Please don't take it personally if I don't respond to you, I'm just super picky (and you all should be too with our millions of users, we need to narrow it down somehow!) I just know exactly the type of guy I'm looking for. I'm a pretty self-sufficient individual that loves my freedom, my many blessings in life and my family and friends whom I try never to take for granted. I am fortunate enough to have work that I love at a local hospital and I've got plans to graduate with a bachelor's degree in environmental and sustainability studies with a minor in anthropology from the U in about Spring ***. I have a few ideas what I'd like to do afterwards but we'll see what options may lie ahead when I get there. I'd also like to pursue a master's degree in a wildlife ecology conservation degree maybe about a year after this degree but I need time off to travel and get some experience in my field. This year I have taught myself how to crochet and I will be become one of the cliched 'single ladies with a cat' soon as I want to adopt a cat for my birthday present to myself this year. I have one beta fish right now as well. (We can't have dogs at my apt., but right now a dog would be too much responsibilty, down the line I'd love to have a few dogs that I can train to be therapy dogs and take to visit people in the hospital). My dream is to find my place that feels like home and accrue a small urban farm with a little collection of rescue animals and do the whole organic sustainable garden lifestyle, I'm not a full-on hippie, but I think that its a really necessary thing to be able to take care of yourself and keep connected with the Earth and nature. I'm equal parts city chick and nature lady. I've never been to Europe but I know I'll love it and want to stay a while. Maybe we can go together? Around here, I've become a complete hiking nut and go all year-round with my best friend and whomever will join us. I love music of all kinds with few exceptions (Country is just NOT in my blood thank you very much! Everyone has a soft spot for Johnny Cash though). Attending the operas every season is very important to me, you don't have to go or like it, but I can talk about the reasons why I love it for hours...you'll also find me dancing to rave/techno/trance/beats antique style music and I was pretty into punk rock/goth/rave music for much of my early 20's. Traveling, exploring and adventure are all in my blood as well. Timing for me currently is terrible to try and do much of it while I'm in school, but this summer I went on my first back-packing trip to Kaua'i's Na' Pali coast with my bestie and her two boys. Next year we're going to Australia and New Zealand to visit her Dad while he's still around (an important trip I'd say!). I've also been to a number of international locations but most of the really exotic ones were when I was younger. Time to also get my passport renewed! As much as I love traveling~ I also really love to have a place to call home and feel comfortable. I do like stability as much as the adventure. I'm really not an adrenaline junkie, in fact I'd rather stay home and watch movies or read a book than sky dive. I guess I'm kind of an oddball. Actually, really more of a nerd to be quite honest. I get really into Arthurian mythology, archaeology, science, animals...random things that most people don't really get into..and I'm totally attracted to like-minded individuals who have passions and don't care what other people think. There's just something so sexy about an intelligent guy with a sense of humor. Speaking of guys.... (If you can't show your teeth in your 'bait' photos, it makes me nervous of what's in there... I don't care if you work out every day or have a few extra places to love, I just care about your health and that you do too. If you can't find joy in some kind of physical activity (besides sex) than we might not have that much to connect over. I'm scared of bicycle riding around here so I don't (too many deaths and accidents) and I'm 'over' skiing as I did so much of it growing up, plus its expensive and I'd rather spend my time and money learning something new. I like rock climbing but haven't been able to do a ton of it (yet) and I like going to yoga when I can. I want to know about you, what you love about your life, what your goals and dreams are, if you get along with your family, if you have pets, passions, interests, strange but cool stories, have a zest for life but with a healthy measure of balance and grounding, if you are 'spiritual, but not religious' on some level, are not a litter bug or complete slob, if you care about yourself and have decent self-esteem (I can't tell you how many depressed guys I've dated, and after working so hard on myself I just need someone who's optimistic and decidedly happy in their life). If you are also finding that the thing you're missing in your life is someone to share it all with and to come home to. If things get serious, I'd be completely open to marriage and having a little family at some point, but no rush. I'm not baby crazy and there's no need to rush things, I just think I'd be really good at both if the right guy came along. I guess if you're that guy then you're into that possibility too.) sounds romantic, trecking off the beaten path to discover ancien Coffee / brunch date is the best for the very first meeting. Public spaces are good. Alcohol is not necessary to make a good impression. If you're a complete dork and we have chemistry, I'll probably like you.

I enjoy nature, creating in the kitchen, or spending the evening with close friends. I\'m not perfect and I\'m not expecting you to be either. If we are not a match, I wish you the best in your search.

I'm at that point in my life where I have most things figured out, except that missing person to share my life with. I've spent so much time focusing on my career that it's made it hard to meet and connect with someone. So, here's hoping I can find someone on this site that is genuine and doesn't just want a quick hook up. I'd like to get to know someone first, and hope to click with them. I'd rather not chat forever online. Chat a few times, then meet works for me so we can see in person if we match up well. I always find it hard to read personalities though messaging or texting.I'm looking for someone who is honest, caring, generous, loving, funny, and wants the same things out of life that I want; which is to eventually get married and hopefully have a family some day.As for myself; I'm a warm and generous person. I can be a little shy sometimes, but I come out of my shell pretty easily. I'm creative and have a cake business that keeps me pretty busy besides my full time job. I love making cakes and having them be a part of people's celebrations.I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, sitting around a table with great food, wine, and conversation. I'm close to my family and would like to meet someone with the same values.I love to listen to music and dance when no one is watching while I bake in my kitchen. I like to go out with friends for dinner, or to a pub or place to watch live music. I enjoy movies, both at home and at the theatre. I love trying new food, and will eat almost anything. I'm not a picky eater. I'd love to travel more and have someone to travel with. Right now I settle for road trips and weekend adventures. I like to lead a healthly lifestyle as best I can by eating healthy and going to the gym as often as I can drag myself there. Some days it's hard for sure. I've fallen off the fitness wagon a time or two, or three, but who hasn't? I'm human, and I run a cake business, sometimes I have to sample the goods, and I love food too much, I won't lie.If you'd like to know more about me, then please send me a message. Thanks for reading my profile! Anything that helps us get to know each other better and where we can have a conversation. Coffee, tea, beer, wine, drink; whatever your preference. Go for a walk on the waterfront, enjoy a sunny patio, try something new? Endless possibilities.
