My friends describe me as an intelligent person with a somewhat dry – and a bit silly – sense of humor. I like watching the world at play and/or being front and center of all the action. I also have a serious side and enjoy good conversations about current events / social issues. But, typically I’m quite comfortable in the company of jokesters. I'm grateful for my dear friends, family and daughter. I'm hoping to attract a man whose packed away his baggage and can come to a relationship without any carry-ons….sorry for the cliché’ but that just about says it all. I try to be diligent about making this earth sustainable and a more humane place to live...or better yet for my child to live.I’m not a big fan of reading a bunch of rules posted by a profile’s author. However, saying that – I haven’t had much luck with this online dating thing – and can understand some of the logic behind that move. So, here’s a couple “guidelines” in the areas that have tended to make my spine prickle a bit.Putting this as delicately as I can – just because I’m nice to you doesn’t automatically mean I’m giving you the girlfriend-greenlight nor does it mean I want to be your “exclusive” (a term that seems to be trending lately.) I was just raised to be friendly and polite and I need a little bit more time then 3-dates (okay, four if you count the coffee date) to give up my singles status. Also, although I work in the field of education, please don’t assume that I’m a teacher. In fact, past experience has shown me that you aren’t going to be real thrilled with exactly what I do in the public school system…and no, I’m not a principal. Don’t get me wrong, I have a lot of respect for teachers – I just couldn’t do what they do. Also, I’m sorry to hear that a few of you “fear, fantasize or generally freak-out” about writing to a teacher. Come on now, it’s not their fault if you’re a bad speller. (Well, maybe it is – let’s not sweat the small stuff.) I think that sums it up. Two small hints and hopefully you will understand the humor intended. If not – good luck out there and boldly move on with your search.

Looking for: man. In age: 52-62
Relationships are a dynamic commitment which require understanding, respect, honesty, humor but most of all passion. I am looking for a partner, soul mate, friend and lover who wants to share our time together laughing, sharing and experiencing all the joys and challenges of daily life together. Confident about who they are and what they want, not arrogant or insecure, and active not sedentary are all attributes I find very attractive. Intelligence and awareness of the world around us are also attractive attributes… I am not talking a PhD, rather insight over *** have nearly everything I need though what I want is an honest, passionate relationship where laughter predominates. Spontaneity is a major plus as is independence. The smile and a mischievous twinkle in your eye is what will draw me in. I would like a man who is equally comfortable with a framing hammer or a sauté pan, reasonably active, fit, down-to-earth and honest.I'm a down-to- I love writing, the outdoors, quiet moments, laughter, and the beauty of nature. I am told I am funny, intelligent, honest and somewhat unfiltered when it comes to expressing myself.I want to be clear that I look and act like I’m still 45, and still dream like I am 30! I definitely am not looking for a pen pal but a genuine person who shares a similar vision for simple pleasures, travel and mutual activities to balance our busy professional lives. I’ Life is a roadmap with many stops, detours and roadblocks but it is also filled with adventures, sights, quiet moments, intimate moments, laughs, sounds that add colour, beauty and flavour and ultimately, we do reach our destinations... Family and friends are very important to me. Things are good at the moment ... but there is one thing missing... that special someone to share Life's mysteries, wonders and treasures. There's more than enough room in my heart for that special someone. I yearn for the simple things in life, and eventually, at some point down the road, I’d love to live with the forested mountains and water as our backdrop, to be able to devote more time to writing, and enjoy a quieter, simpler pace of life but still very much active and wanting to experience shared adventures. Lastly, if you're going to send me a photo of yourself, please ensure it’s fairly recent; we all age, I get that, but I have to be able to recognize you when we meet. To say I am only attracted to physical attributes is not a fair statement but to be sure the way someone takes care of themselves says a great deal about self-respect, image and esteem. Hopefully, the above resonates with that one special someone meant for me. Thank you and Cheers :) A first date would be a continuation of, and, a willingness to get to know one another.
