About Me

I’ I’ve taught toddlers and smelly middle schoolers English. I’ I’ve taken more wrong turns than I can count but they led me to discover new places and meet new friends. I dream in color, I have a penchant for the absurd, and as a true North Carolinian, am as sweet as sweet iced tea. I’m a very passionate person. I am not offended by a dirty joke and can dish out one of my own. I adore grammar (and occasionally defy it), sleeping in (when kidless), reading (as much as possible. Yes, I am a bookworm), and cooking (but loathe doing the dishes). I am old fashioned (to a certain degree) and believe that ‘love conquers all,’ but that’s because I’m a hopeless romantic. I have a lust for all things great in this world: great food, great friends, and great adventures. Now that that’s out of the way, here’s a little bit (more) about me: • The first thing I do when I get home is change into comfy clothes (shorts/pj pants, tank top, anything but ‘real clothes’)• Eating is one of life’s important physical pleasures, and I enjoy it wholeheartedly (Foodgasms? Yes, please!)• I use phrases like “cool beans” and “awesome sauce”, which some find incredibly dorky. I, however, think they are cool (beans).• I correct people’s grammar (in my head).• There’s not a single country that I wouldn’t want to visit.• I love games (board games, card games, video games – you get the picture)• I stay up way too late way too often. (There’s just something about the nighttime that I find magical, if you will, that keeps me up) Can you relate?• I am generous, loyal, sensitive, sometimes sassy/sarcastic, but always sweet. I wear my heart on my sleeve too. Though sometimes I wish I didn’t.• I enjoy (and am good at) solving the puzzles on Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.     Hey there y'all! Been year a little over two years and loving it!Now a bit more about me... I am fun and sweet, with a bit of sassy and feisty thrown in for good measure! I laugh all the time...and from what I have been told I have a very distinct laugh that you can hear from about a mile away! I am a passionate and optimistic person on most days. And as cliche as it sounds, I am a good mix of homebody and social butterfly. I am always dancing (or at least moving my shoulders)...and that includes in my chair at work or in the car! It's rare that I can hear music and remain still. I am also back into the gym and I forgot how much I loved working out! I'm becoming a bit of a gym junkie, but enjoying it!! (And yes, I do dance around while working out too! hehe) I can have fun just about anywhere and usually up for about anything...whether it be going bowling or to shoot pool (both of at which I am awful!), going to a nice dinner or theater, going to the bar, or cuddling up and watching movies or cooking in at home. Also love to go to Tigers games-- I am mostly a baseball football girl, but do enjoy any live sporting event. The atmosphere is always high energy and fun...and the food, while awful, is awesome! My friends and family are the greatest and are all very important to me. I absolutely adore my little nieces. At 1 and 4, they absolutely light up my world!!I'm looking for the guy that fits. I've learned quite a bit and I'm happy with my life but would enjoy having the right guy to spend my life with. It's not something I need to be happy so I'm not going to settle for less than what I know will make me even happier. I want to find the guy that I click with...that can be silly, is responsible, sweet, affectionate and family oriented, along with accepting and leans socially to the liberal side.
