I am here from Australia on a working visa & so far I love it. I want to travel but not endlessly, I just want to see the country while I'm here & hopefully find an extra reason to stay :-) You'll have to want to see Australia too though cos I miss my family! I am not really a city girl & prefer a bit of space. I love animals & riding horses. I have three dogs that I had to leave at home & miss them greatly. A guy who loves his dog is a good thing. I am a friendly girl & try to be nice to everyone however I can stand up for myself easily if I need to. I like to laugh & socialise, I love going for a drink or to the movies or can be quite happy staying in with a movie or a book. I listen to music a lot & its a bit of a mix of everything but quite mainstream. I don't want to meet someone that expects me to be a super model or have intellectual conversations ALL the time. I like to be an idiot sometimes & I think it's perfectly ok. I just want to meet someone who loves his mum & dad (but doesn't do everything they tell him to), respects people in general & doesn't think they're better than most others. I can be a total pain in the butt, I correct people's spelling all the time (I can't help it!), I leave hair around, I love people watching & I comment on them far too much - but overall, I'm mostly ok ;-) I don't aim to be perfect. I'm very new here & would like to get to know the place better & meet some new people & hopefully something more long term will come of it! I'm open to try most things - I'm not really an intimate dinner kind of girl - And I don't drink coffee but that's ok, I'll just have a hot chocolate!

I'm originally from Calgary but have lived a few years abroad. I am very comfortable in social settings and can hold my own but I'm an introvert at heart (I can sometimes be a homebody). I no longer enjoy bars with the music blasting while trying to hold a conversation, or should I say yell? Family is very precious and important to me so hoping it is for you too.I think it's important to live a healthy lifestyle but in a balanced way i.e: Being moderately active and allowing yourself to give in to some cravings every now and then.I absolutely love animals. I also love kids, I think you can learn so much from these creative minds. Not to mention that they make you laugh and are absolutely adorable. On this note, as much as I love kids and would like to have my own someday, I'm not open to dating anyone who already has little munchkins of their own. This may sound selfish but it's just my prerogative. Please do not take it personal.I like to think of myself as being ambitious and having goals in life. To this end, having a post-secondary education and having actually finished one is an asset. Having said this, developing your spiritual and emotional side trumps anything you learn in the classroom. On this note I'm definitely more spiritual than religious, I do however relate more to christianity. I'm still exploring this area and "continuous improvement" is what I seek. I have seen a lot of profiles on here that say it is hard to talk about one's self; and I totally agree. Things I know about myself is that I am a hard working person, with a high sense of responsibility. If I say I am going to do something I will do it I am protective of my friends and family, but also know when to let them fight their own battles. I don't like to be pressured and like most people (even those who do not admit it, I can get cranky too). I try my hardest in everything I do, even though there will be things I can not do. (example is anything arts and craft like). I want to try new things, expand my horizons even although sometimes I need a little encouragement; its hard to go from not doing something to trying something new. I am the type of girl who, the first time I seen the ocean I had to climb down a cliff side to touch it... I can be child like... take me to the zoo and watch my eyes light up. What I am looking for? Well someone who can make me laugh and accepts me for who I am. I don't like to be pressured and I will admit I can be pretty shy. I want someone who will just hug me when I have a rough day. Or on that cold day, surprise me with a ride home from work. Not asking for a mind reader or superman; just want a down to earth personI love animals, horror movies and having a good laugh.
