I love all the treasures in life that can't be purchased - they are so much more valuable! I appreciate all the life lessons I have had thus far - they've strengthened me, taught me about myself, given me joy, allowed my resiliency to shine through, taught me to appreciate people I've been blessed to have around me, and taught me the value of forgiveness, all of which have played a part in who I am today. I have a good sense of who I am and what is important to me in a relationship, and I'm looking for the same in a man. I'm not looking for a hook up, or a superficial thing here, I am seriously seeking someone who will compliment my life in many ways, and whose life I will compliment in return. You? Intelligent, attractive (more than just looks, guys!), a great sense of humor, confident, responsible, accountable, somewhat independent, relatively drama free, reasonably fit, and unreservedly affectionate; a gentleman with some bad boy thrown in; passionate about the things and people in your life you care about, you know his flaws and work to change the things you can, are honest and forthcoming, and you have the time and inclination for a monogamous relationship. I can milk a cow and raise chewing tobacco but I prefer not to. I was the second oldest of 6 children. My parents were both Irish although my mother's blood was tainted with a bit of czech and german. I can be a bit stubborn and I do hope to visit the motherland one day and kiss the Blarney Stone.I am blessed to be the mother of two wonderful (mostly grown) children who are away at college.; Hooch) and a karin terrier (Dog in Wizard of Oz).In my spare time I am expanding my horizons by spending time with a couple friends who are single. One is a bit of a Part-time Homemaker Goddess and has made it her mission to prove to me that cooking/baking is a viable option. My children actually now request certain food items which is new as they used to prefer take out. The other is a do it yourselfer in everything to do with your home. From her, I have learned to kill a scorpion single handedly (you cant suffocate them in a jar for anyone wondering about that), flush out the air conditioning pipe, and a few other handy tricks. It hasn't all gone well so I cannot be trusted with electrical tools at this point. So I feel like a renaissance woman in the making.
