About Me

I'm a single Mom, who in the past focused on my daughter and my own personal growth. I am an independent, healthy and fun person, looking to move on to the next phase of my life without a dependent child. I enjoy working around the house and gardening in my free time, basically a homebody. I love animals, and spending time with family & friends. I am diligent in being around people who are responsible, positive, and nice. I really don't care for the drama that so many people, at any age, seem to thrive on. I would appreciate a gentleman whose age has done him well, and whose friends and family consider him to have strong morals, high values, and good character, and they would get the same from me. I love listening to music, especially 50s,60,70s. It brings back great memories, since music was always in my house and still is!! I also love to laugh and have a crazy sense of humor-I seriously think laughter is the best medicine!! I have been divorced for a number of years, not dating much, because I am the kind of person that believes that a parents first and foremost obligations with their time and energy is for their (minor) children. My daughter is 19 now, and has recently moved on her own and is independent and self sufficient(so, no drama there!). I think a solid and healthy relationship is a wonderful bonus in life, not that you should spend your life with anyone, just so you are not alone.     I realize that guys don't "read" per se but they tell me I have to have a profile so for what it’s worth, and in no particular order, here goes … I am extremely easy going and love to try/experience new things. I ski (snow, not water), bowl, ride (horses and motorcycles) and dance (social, ballroom, square and contra). I don’t “cook” per se (I have been known to dabble in it some, but really it's just me so why bother?) but I’m great with KP and the dishes! I like being TOTALLY silly with my niece and nephews, I also like hanging out with my friends working hard, resting hard and of course all those other things that most everyone else in the known world has listed in their profiles like the mountains, the beach, travel, dining, etc …You should preferably be stable, mostly baggage free (we all have SOME right?), emotionally mature and financially responsible.If you find any of this appealing, or if I have added you as a “favorite”, then drop me a line! you never know, you might just find a keeper and after all that's the idea isn't it? A first date could end up being almost anything really, although movies, plays, shows, etc don't really lend themselves much to conversation, so coffee, a drink or meal, a visit to an exhibition or historic sight maybe, would all be good choices so that we could talk and get to know one another.
