Hello to those reading this. I love animals, nature, and doing relaxing things on weekends such as hiking or canoeing followed by eating at a local spot. Staying in and watching a great movie while snuggling on the sofa also never gets old. I like the city but I'm a country girl at heart. Other things that I like to do are going to places like flea markets, fairs, music festivals. Touring historic homes or sites are fun, or just walking up a street of nice or old homes - trying to decide which one I would pick if given the choice. I am currently volunteering with an animal adoption group and the county tricentennial anniversary group. I would to find someone to share the fun times of life with (and sometimes not so fun), a person who shares at least some of my interests - someone who could be a true best friend. Besides the standard meeting for a drink, which can be really nice or really awkward(!), I think meeting at a place like a mall or flea market can be an option as it gives you lots to talk about as you walk around, get to learn each others tastes, and you don't have to be staring at each other the whole time (assuming it's that awkward date!). However, meeting for a drink always works as well. As we all know - it's the chemistry that really counts...

I believe there is someone out there for everyone...and I'm ready to find that perfect someone. I love being around my family and friends, but that one special person is missing. I am truly blessed to be surrounded by so many supportive and loving people...they make me so proud 3I love spending time with those that I love. My friends say I am fun and very witty, and love to be around me because I am always smiling. My girls know I'm funny and fun, but tell me that I'm old and weird...yet they still like being with me, so I mustn't be that bad! I do try to find the positive and the good in everyone and everything. I think I'm a very kind and caring person, and believe those that know me would agree...I treat others as I would want to be treated. I have worked with children, and now with the elderly, and in both cases have treated them as if they were my own children or parents...they are all someone's someone, and deserve to be treated kindly, the way I'd want others to treat mine. I've always loved the peace and serenity of the beach. I love walking on the beach in the early morning while it's just me and the sound of the waves...it's a great way to start the day. My favorite vacation is the beach...anywhere! Looking forward to the summer for some of those lazy days with my toes in the sand and the sun on my face...and hopefully a great man sitting beside me. I like being outdoors. I enjoy water activities when the weather allows. I like antiquing, junk/thrift store hunting. The joy is in finding a treasure for a bargain. I love playing tennis and play on a women's league summer, spring and fall. I love animals but only have dogs. I have a daughter that is 23 and lives on her own. I am not sure why I am checking out this site. I don't think I want anything serious. Maybe someone to do activities with. I am sure when I find it I will then know what I was looking for. If that makes sense. I enjoy traveling, being with friends and family. One of my hobbies is collecting pictures and autographs of "famous people." I started that hobby when I was 7 so I have a good collection. My newest hobby is working as an extra in TV and movies filmed in this area. Just a snip of who I am and what I do with my time.
