Still available and searching for a forever friend, partner in crime (NOT) ha ha!... O.K. I don't believe in that myth, but would love to find what some of my friends have found; which is true and enduring love that will stand the test of time! :) I have been single for a long time... mostly because I am fiercely independent, strong willed or whatever. I am cautious, I am responsible, I am in my opinion someone well worth knowing. (Yah, I could go on and on about how posalutely absotively wonderful I am but, I don't make a habit out of bragging! (No I don't care if you are "in recovery" or a regular member of AA, though I wish you well, please do not bother contacting me, for your own good!) As for myself, I seldom have a drink, and I am at a point in my life where I relish peace and peace of mind, and do not wish to get caught up in anyone else's "pity party" or 'new' wagon ride! I am proud of what I have accomplished thus far in my life, and prefer to keep my glass half full, life is too short to let others deplete you or rob you of your joy! I have tried to write this as kindly as possible, so hope no one takes offense.... I think Coffee, soft drinks or ICE CREAM is a great ice breaker when first meeting... that is pretty much as bold as I am in meeting. (Oh, and if you think McDonalds is a good place to meet I am probably NOT the gal for you! Ha Ha!) Maybe a quiet, hole in the wall place for lunch to talk and get to know one another as a first date, provided the first meeting went well. Frisbee? The Zoo? Maybe fishing or a bike ride on the 2nd date, the possibilities are endless.... Love shows like ***men, King of Queens,Seinfeld, Friends. Favorite movie is probably Planes, Trains and Automobiles, along with many others. I think a good first date would be to meet somewhere casual and comfortable and have a burger and a beer and lots of conversation, without a lot of expectations.

    Thanks for "visiting"! Here's a *** me: My 12 and 13 year old consume much of my time so, although I love to travel, extensive world journeys are probably not on the radar for a few years.... if you have kids, though, all the better...my dream is to have a bustling house for every holiday with great smells coming from the kitchen and lots of little fingerprints on the holiday tables. Ultimately I am looking for a best friend that can share my days and nights, who can accept me for all my kooky imperfections. I am past (thankfully!) the stage where I need a man to complete me or validate me...I love my alone time but miss having a man to share my heart with. I am not clingy and would prefer you not to be either! That doesn't mean I wouldn't like to spend lots of time cuddling with someone, should I fall in love! I am far from perfect and am not looking for someone perfect. It's about finding someone you love to be with enough to choose to accept all of their imperfections. I want to find someone to love me for who I am rather than be discontent with who I'm not....and vice versa!! I enjoy simple pleasures...dinner and movies...walks in small towns...puttering in antique shops...Pumpkin Spice Lattes with a crossword puzzle... Looking forward to traveling again someday...have always been fascinated by different cultures. And I LOVE dogs--have a Basset Hound and an Olde English Bulldogge who is a sweetheart! We also have a bearded dragon, hamster, fish.....and I believe we are soon adding a frog.... One of my "hobbies" is helping to transport rescued dogs from shelters to either their foster homes or forever homes. NOTHING feels better than helping save the lives of shelter dogs!! Turn offs: smoking, shallow/superficial people, impatience, arrogance, people who only talk about themselves... Turn ons: good listener, quirky sense of humor, animal lover, just plain "real"! I want to: take up photography, travel to Europe, run an animal sanctuary, make a difference. LOVE this saying (Dala'i Lama) : If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping in a room with a mosquito!! Soooo...If you think we'd click, say hi! Coffee...and you?
