Thanks for "visiting"! Here's a *** me: My 12 and 13 year old consume much of my time so, although I love to travel, extensive world journeys are probably not on the radar for a few years.... if you have kids, though, all the better...my dream is to have a bustling house for every holiday with great smells coming from the kitchen and lots of little fingerprints on the holiday tables. Ultimately I am looking for a best friend that can share my days and nights, who can accept me for all my kooky imperfections. I am past (thankfully!) the stage where I need a man to complete me or validate me...I love my alone time but miss having a man to share my heart with. I am not clingy and would prefer you not to be either! That doesn't mean I wouldn't like to spend lots of time cuddling with someone, should I fall in love! I am far from perfect and am not looking for someone perfect. It's about finding someone you love to be with enough to choose to accept all of their imperfections. I want to find someone to love me for who I am rather than be discontent with who I'm not....and vice versa!! I enjoy simple pleasures...dinner and movies...walks in small towns...puttering in antique shops...Pumpkin Spice Lattes with a crossword puzzle... Looking forward to traveling again someday...have always been fascinated by different cultures. And I LOVE dogs--have a Basset Hound and an Olde English Bulldogge who is a sweetheart! We also have a bearded dragon, hamster, fish.....and I believe we are soon adding a frog.... One of my "hobbies" is helping to transport rescued dogs from shelters to either their foster homes or forever homes. NOTHING feels better than helping save the lives of shelter dogs!! Turn offs: smoking, shallow/superficial people, impatience, arrogance, people who only talk about themselves... Turn ons: good listener, quirky sense of humor, animal lover, just plain "real"! I want to: take up photography, travel to Europe, run an animal sanctuary, make a difference. LOVE this saying (Dala'i Lama) : If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping in a room with a mosquito!! Soooo...If you think we'd click, say hi! Coffee...and you?

Hi, I thought I would give this a try to see who was out there. I am looking for someone to share adventures with who enjoys the outdoors, backyard barbecue's and travel.I like to take long walks in a park, maybe a picnic and dropping a pole in a pond to see what could be caught. Holding hands. My children are grown and now is my time to see what life has to offer. I have had a very successful career and now want more than a job to look forward to. I am looking forward to passion being a part of my life again.I like to laugh, enjoy music of all kinds (except rap) with a lean to country. I enjoy the beach and love the mountains.There is so much more but this is difficult trying to describe oneself. I enjoy conversation so I would say we would be talking, probably start with texting then talking on the phone. I imagine it would lead to a cup of coffee or a drink somewhere. Not sure if I call that first date or just getting to know one another.I have a couple of ideas for great first dates from a picnic with bread, cheese, fruit and a great bottle of wine to a wonderful meal out in a quiet restaurant to a concert of live music or a live sporting event. I guess it all depends on the connection.
