Thanks for "visiting"! Here's a *** me: My 12 and 13 year old consume much of my time so, although I love to travel, extensive world journeys are probably not on the radar for a few years.... if you have kids, though, all the better...my dream is to have a bustling house for every holiday with great smells coming from the kitchen and lots of little fingerprints on the holiday tables. Ultimately I am looking for a best friend that can share my days and nights, who can accept me for all my kooky imperfections. I am past (thankfully!) the stage where I need a man to complete me or validate me...I love my alone time but miss having a man to share my heart with. I am not clingy and would prefer you not to be either! That doesn't mean I wouldn't like to spend lots of time cuddling with someone, should I fall in love! I am far from perfect and am not looking for someone perfect. It's about finding someone you love to be with enough to choose to accept all of their imperfections. I want to find someone to love me for who I am rather than be discontent with who I'm not....and vice versa!! I enjoy simple pleasures...dinner and movies...walks in small towns...puttering in antique shops...Pumpkin Spice Lattes with a crossword puzzle... Looking forward to traveling again someday...have always been fascinated by different cultures. And I LOVE dogs--have a Basset Hound and an Olde English Bulldogge who is a sweetheart! We also have a bearded dragon, hamster, fish.....and I believe we are soon adding a frog.... One of my "hobbies" is helping to transport rescued dogs from shelters to either their foster homes or forever homes. NOTHING feels better than helping save the lives of shelter dogs!! Turn offs: smoking, shallow/superficial people, impatience, arrogance, people who only talk about themselves... Turn ons: good listener, quirky sense of humor, animal lover, just plain "real"! I want to: take up photography, travel to Europe, run an animal sanctuary, make a difference. I am easy going, flexible, and usually in a good mood. I am a night owl and I don't like to get up until the last minute. I have tried to change this my whole life, but that is just how I am wired. My work is kinda crazy so I sometimes need to wind down afterwards and recharge (take a nap) but then I am ready to go do something fun. I go out a lot...some guys may not like that. I am not much of a drinker so I don't spend a lot of money and I always go out with the same group of friends to hear live music. I like this and would like to meet someone who would enjoy going with me a couple times per week. I would love to go with you to do what you enjoy too. And, I would love to stay in a couple nights and cook something together and sit outside and relax and talk. I have a swimming pool and I also have a lot of flowers and a small herb garden that all keep me busy besides the usual housework etc. But, I somehow manage to do my chores and have a pretty active social life. I have 3 cats (all were strays) who keep me laughing at their antics. Besides, music, I love Cardinals and Redbirds baseball and love to travel. I am a devoted Jesus Follower, but I dont' have a judmental bone in my body. I have not walked in your shoes so I won't judge you. I am often told that I am friendly, kind, and that I never meet a stranger. I am always smiling and talking to everybody. WARNING: I talk too much and recently told some friends that I was going to try to see about reading a book or going to a class about talking less and my friends told me not to change a bit because I was the one who made everyone else feel comfortable. But, I know I need to stop talking so much. I have a decent IQ and I think too much haha and I guess I have a lot to say! . OH, and I make lye soap and i play the guitar and sing. Or we could go downtown and ride the trolley and visit the farmer's marker and maybe find a neat place to eat. I like going to the Redbirds too.
