Hello,I'm trying the dating thing out again. We'll see - I'm not big on dating, I'd rather just be comfortable in a relationship, but I take a long time to get to that point. I work full time and also am a full time single mom. I have a degree in forensics and biology, but I haven't really used either. I have a three- I am looking for someone who is intelligent and who knows he's ready to grow up and realize there's more to life than a party and a hook up. I enjoy the intimacy and vulnerability that a relationship brings. I'd like to be married at some point but am in no rush - my goal is to find a man that I can love and trust 100%, but also that my daughter can feel the same way about. I'm not opposed to dating someone who has kids, but I'd prefer one or none - and if he does have any that they be close to my daughter's age, so that we can embark on parenting together. I find it very important to be able to have an adult conversation with someone who uses proper grammer, doesn't talk with his/her mouth full, and understands social faux pas like talking in a normal voice in a movie theater...these are sure fire ways to turn me off. I don't expect relationships to come without problems, but I want to be with someone who knows that they take work and communication, rather than running away from issues. Please don't assume my daughter is a mistake just because I've never been married; I intended on having a child - she's the best thing in my life and I want someone who is ok with being a part of this life with us. I don't need someone to "take care of us"; I work hard and provide for my daughter without welfare, and though it can be tight at times, I want a partner versus a sugar daddy (I.e. even if you cold provide for a full family...I'd probably still insist on having a career of my own). I love all types of music, but you'll most likely find country in my car. Depends on my mood...when I'm studying, it's classical. I enjoy activities that range from mini-golf or a nice walk or bike ride, to going to a movie, getting dinner, or grabbing a drink (the few times that happens anymore). Other times, I'm all about hanging at home watching a movie on HBO and having a glass of wine, all alone. I'm a very rare drinker, but I do enjoy a couple periodically if my daughter's not around.I know what I want, and I'm through with the behavior of trying to change men. If I don't feel enough of a connection or don't see what I want within the first few times of hanging out, I don't plan on dragging things out. I don't like to waste my time. That said, please don't think I'm "too serious" on a dating site - as I've been told before. I love to laugh, and I am incredibly sarcastic. I wish I was a wittier person. I don't take internet dating any more "seriously" as dating someone I met through friends or at a bar...it's just a different medium to use to meet people when you don't have the ability to get out much anymore. If you're rude to me off the bat, I won't just giggle and keep talking to you...I don't care WHERE I meet you. I don't need someone to lie about meeting me online, so people that think they're "stooping" to a level to be on here...please don't message me. Personally, I think online dating is at least a step up from a drunk hook up at the bar.Ha...ok, that's a lot of gettting to know me, so if you're STILL reading, you hopefully are interested. Please message me!! I like laid back but public places, somewhere social is best. Bowling or something is always fun and can keep things moving, but can also be paused for talking. Restaurants and/or bars are OK, but can get awkward if the conversation doesn't take off. Honestly, I love seeing movies on a date, I just don't want that to be the only thing a first date would consist of. At least dinner first or a drink afterwards too :) I won't meet someone for the first time at home (mine or yours), so please don't even ask for that.

I moved to DC area about a year ago to work on an international development organization so I still feel sometimes as a tourist. It was hard at first new job, new language, new culture and starting over but it turn out great and I loved the challenge. As people say: if you make it in NYC you can make it anywhere! (I stayed in NYC for a month before leaving my country but that is another story ;).So far I’ve been enjoying living in this city and doing some activities that I couldn’t do before like skiing, ice skating, hiking, going into the woods, trying a shooting range, etc. I still have many more that I will love to do so it would be great if I find someone that can join me. I like to travel (mi mission is to visit all continents), go outdoors to enjoy nature from just staring at the beautiful landscape or just hiking and enjoying the view. I especially like about DC that you can meet and talk to new people from different cultures in just one place. About me; I am a cheerful person, always with a big smile, pretty laid back, positive, I am always thankful of all the opportunities I had and I try to enjoy life as much as I can; of course sometimes I also enjoy doing nothing and just relaxing but during summer I like to go out and be outdoors as much as possible. I am looking for someone fun to hang out with and share some of my interests.
