When I arrived on my mountain a mother bear brought her cub into my front yard and left the little fur ball with small black eyes. I was shocked when I stood by my sliding glass door watching the mother dig a big hole for her cub. I was fascinated by the event and could not take my eyes off the black bear. I had never seen a bear in the wild with a tiny cub. I was unaware about the significance of the event. Yes, I am involved with animals. They have shaped my life and soul.
