I’m a freelance writer who honestly believes we're just artifacts of the random motion of sub-atomic particles. Unfortunately, i've found that this belief is of only limited utility when having one’s prostate examined or answering the question “Do I look fat in this?”I’m passionate about ideas; interested in almost everything. When not checking ten times to make sure the oven’s off and the door’s locked, I have mastered a zen-like calm.Much to my surprise, I have discovered that I actually do suffer fools well. This means that I will be able to get along with those friends of yours that you’ve had so long that you can’t really remember why they’re your friends. As well as family members who get shunted off to the “I don’t know where to put them” table at weddings.I’m reserved, rather than gregarious. Loyal, supportive and undemanding, without a hint of jealousy. I do, however, insist on honestly answering questions asked of me, on the generally false assumption that an honest answer is desired. I will repeat this, even immediately after suffering the consequences of the first answer. It’s a feature, not a bug.I’m pretty down to earth (which i think just means that I never have, and likely never will want to own a watch that costs more than my last car), easy going and undemanding. I can’t imagine life without bacon. I like kittens and hard liquor. I refuse to pay $12 for a drink in a martini shaped glass, even if it is an actual martini. The first book report I ever wrote, in Grade 4, was on a book by Mickey Spillane. I have been known to give a copy of “The Myth of Sisyphus” to babies as birthday presents. I also have a fondness for actuaries.There is one particular Red-winged Blackbird in High Park who insists on attacking me every time I walk past his tree. Finally, sitting by a lake with a bottle of Jack on a clear moonless night, the milky way tucked in around me, is the kind of artifact I can truly celebrate.So, what am I looking for? Either someone who, based on my picture, thinks I’m hot, or someone who finds the above appealing. Someplace well-lit and with metal detectors, given that, in my experience, quasi-intellectual women are usually packing heat. Or we could just go for a coffee or a drink on a patio.

Hey, just an easy going, no sock wearing ( sandals ***days a year ), blue jeans and T-shirt kinda guy. I like Sociallizing with some beers, red wine in the hottub and make my own wine. Looking for that special petite girl that turns my head every time. I like 60's to 80's music, mostly, but open to lots of others. Work alot of overtime and love my job. A good action packed movie is always good, but I like the ones that make you cry to, I get kinda emotional sometimes. Not sucky though. Don't drink coffee. But if you do thats ok. First off, 'cause I do not want to mislead anyone, I am in decentlly athletic shape and have several big muscles. (Ok...that is funny AND weird). I have very broad sholders, very sexy legs and arms, and I can still do one-armed push-ups. At least two. Well, I could, but just had hand surgery so you'll have to trust me on that. I am 5'10"+ and weigh about ***lbs. So, I am "athletic" in the way a retired relief pitcher might be. I just thought that I should put that out there 'cause there seems to be a bit of 'creativity' when it comes to some folks' descriptions of themselves and I wouldn't want to disappoint anyone!I've been separated from the mother of my four kids for more than nine years. I get on well with my ex. I've had a couple of longish relationships since then; I'm pretty much a relationship kinda guy.I'm looking for an intelligent, witty woman, one with an interest in the world. I need someone who is compassionate and passionate, empathetic, open, loving, forgiving...I love to work with my hands - renovating, making furniture, building rock gardens...-fi fantasy, cook books, archeology, history, psychology...), enjoy cooking, music, and discussing politics, social issues, and current events. I've a quirky sense of humour but can be very serious and introspective. I think I'm pretty adept at seeing both sides of any situation; there isn't a lot of black or white in my world. Someplace where we could talk and get to know each other, all the while hoping that a few sparks fly. A walk on the beach, window shopping for old stuff, a nice meal in a quite, intimate resturant, tag-team mud wrestling, shopping for shoes...? All great choices, of course. Perhaps we should get to know a little bit about each other before we decide. If you leave it up to me we are signing up for the tag-team mud wrestling...
