I am a single mom of 2...I have an 18 year old and an 8 year old. And I'm a G-ma to very energetic 1 yr old!! I have my son during the week and he goes to his dads Sat. & Sun....hope you don't mind kids cause he's into sports and sometimes it gets busy...but I love it!!     I am a hardworking, self-sufficient woman. I was a single mother for years. I could not figure out how to date and be a good parent simultaneously. So, decided to focus on being a mom first...especially since I only had one shot at being a parent. I always figured I would have time for myself later. Well, suddenly I find that time has come! The one problem...I have been out of the dating scene for so long, I'm not sure how to go about dating now! Things have changed in the past 10 years and I have gotten older. Meeting for a drink or to have coffee is fine. A long walk (accompanied by my dog of course) at a park or cemetery (and no I don't mean a dark, scarey, weird place). Dinners seem to me a bit too much for a first date. If the chemistry is not there, it can make for a long, uncomfortable meal! Same with movies, and movies do not afford the ability to talk and get to know one another.

I definitely see more travel in my future.I am financially secure so I am not looking for someone to "take care of me." Just hoping to share life's moments with someone special.You should be someone who doesn't complain about all work and no play. We have choices in life. You can either talk about what you want to do or you can go and do it.You should be someone who isn't afraid to communicate, show intimacy, who can hold my hand or give me a hug just because, be honest (this is huge for me...I don't have tolerance for anything less than complete honesty), be committed to a relationship should we decide to go that route. At this stage of our lives, of course people have a past and I accept that, but hopefully your past is in the past and it isn't additional drama for the present or future.Am I looking for a long-term relationship? Sure...if it's with the right person. I haven't given up on finding that special person to share my life with. I look forward to another chapter in my life. Who knows....maybe it's with you?! Coffee, a walk, lunch or dinner. Casual is best, especially for the first time we meet. :)
