I have been on this site (not that it is any different from the others) for about a month, but I am learning that the words you use are the only thing that strangers can look at and judge weather they are interested in you. I myself am not so good with words or expressing feelings so we have to adjust for this.The other thing I noticed is that we over 50 have had a life time already and it is very hard to express this to others but I know that we can all find someone that could make a good friend if not a good intimate mate. I find it difficult to share my feelings and I think it would be easier to just stay single and live alone, but then again....So the rest of my profile remains the same.....I am easy going, sarcastic and independent. I was born in NL and raised in Cape Breton so I have a great sense of humor. I love a good laugh, you know with tears in your eyes! I still feel like I am 40 and have no intentions of slowing down. I have a full time job that I really like. I like doing renovations and can do just about anything with a house. I love old architecture and restoring the old buildings. I recently started using herbal medicines and find it very interesting. I enjoy live concerts, photography, gardening, sewing, knitting, auctions, flea markets, yard sales. In fact most of my furniture is either hand made or purchased at auctions. I used to ski and sail a lot when I lived in Rothesay, NB and miss it very much. I would like to find friends as well as someone special to spend the rest of my life with. So if you are outgoing, funny, and enjoy the outdoors send me an e-mail and we will chat. Looking for people to share walks, go camping, skiing, sailing and beaches.I should say that I am a vegetarian, no meat in my diet, it's just cruel, but some of my friends still eat meat, so....I do not enjoy loud things like 4 wheelers & snowmobiles. I prefer hiking, cross-country skiing, beaches, etc. I do not think about what type of person I am or what type of person I am looking for. What I describe myself as may not be what you would say, and vise versa. I would need to have conversations with a person before I can say that I am interested in meeting you. I can say for sure that you need to be a honest person and a happy person. I do not care if you dig ditches for a living or have a six figure job, that is not important to me.If you asked me what I believe in I would say myself and man kind. I like using some of the ten commandments as I think that they are a good goal for people to strive towards.     Well I would say I'm a well rounded person, I like people, I like music, like to travel & have traveled quite a bit. I like to go out occasionally but I like a nice evening in just as well... a day spent outside hiking, at the beach, playing catch, throwing a football, shopping, going to a play, a game of pool, a concert, a movie or just a nice walk followed by an intimate meal a glass of wine then cuddling in front of a fire is what I'd call a fantastic date :)I am a jeans and t-shirt girl but like to dress up too...
