I'm energetic, bubbly, I like my life, I love my job. I tend to be more positive about things. I smile a lot because I have a lot to smile about. I'm blessed with two really great adult children. I'm a grandma. Not looking to get married, Not saying I never would but I'm looking for someone to do things with, dinner, dancing, just simple things, taking walks, talking, watching movies at home. I love to cook, and entertain. I am a country music fan, although I listen to most music. I can do without rap, I can't understand it.I love the beach, I like to take long walks and go to craft fairs or flea markets. I love spending time taking long drives just to look at the leaves of fall or the lights of christmas. I don't need a man to take care of me but I WANT a man who would like to share life's little pleasures and even the big stuff that sometimes isn't as pleasant. Someone who knows that I could take care of myself, but enjoys doing little extra things just because. I do have a few extra pounds ... I'm not huge, but I am fluffy. Good for cuddling. I am working on losing weight though and doing very well. Family is VERY important to me. I have a 2 year old grandson and he's the love of my life. I spend as much time as I can with him and my kids. I like to spoil my man, and I would hope that he would like to spoil me as well. Life is about finding someone who makes you smile even when you don't want to. It's about respecting each other, and to like doing little things that bring a smile. It may just be a hug or a kiss or even just a smile. It's all about not really wanting to leave in the morning and can hardly wait to come home at night. It's about kissing good morning and kissing goodnight. Never going to sleep angry. It's about Hugs. Its about being able to agree to disagree. I speak my mind and sometimes I get in trouble because of it but don't ask my opinion if you don't want it and don't say you like honesty if you don't. I'm witty and can be silly but know when to act like a lady. Well if you've made it this far, maybe I've peaked your interest... If I have don't be shy ... say hello it could be the start of something great!!! If it isn't then we've made a friend we didn't have before. Smile, it makes people wonder what you're up to. I would rather have a first MEET, let's just meet for coffee or drinks, and see if there is any kind of connection, relaxed is better, rather than a Date. it may turn into that. who knows.

    Hi! I am a caring, loving and independent woman that would love to meet an honest and sincere man that shares similar values, goals and dreams. Now that my children have grown up and live away from home I have time to discover other things that life has to offer and although I enjoy time alone; reading, going to the gym or yoga, somethings are better shared with a loving and "comfortable" partner. I think this time of year, coming on spring it would be nice to have a coffee in a quaint little coffee shop and perhaps listen to the music playing there and then going for a walk around the little town.

    I have been on this site (not that it is any different from the others) for about a month, but I am learning that the words you use are the only thing that strangers can look at and judge weather they are interested in you. I myself am not so good with words or expressing feelings so we have to adjust for this.The other thing I noticed is that we over 50 have had a life time already and it is very hard to express this to others but I know that we can all find someone that could make a good friend if not a good intimate mate. I find it difficult to share my feelings and I think it would be easier to just stay single and live alone, but then again....So the rest of my profile remains the same.....I am easy going, sarcastic and independent. I was born in NL and raised in Cape Breton so I have a great sense of humor. I love a good laugh, you know with tears in your eyes! I still feel like I am 40 and have no intentions of slowing down. I have a full time job that I really like. I like doing renovations and can do just about anything with a house. I love old architecture and restoring the old buildings. I recently started using herbal medicines and find it very interesting. I enjoy live concerts, photography, gardening, sewing, knitting, auctions, flea markets, yard sales.
