About Me

Trying the on line dating once again and hoping that there is someone out there who will appreciate a woman who is genuine, does not play games, is loyal, able to take care of herself yet wants to share all that life has to offer. Who am I? I love the beach, care about the earth (organic), people and animals. I appreciate the simple things in life and while I enjoy the finer things, I am not materialistic. I enjoy travel, reading and learning and would love to live by the beach when I retire. My family and friends are important to me and I embrace the notion of traditions. I am compassionate and a fierce advocate for those who are in need (people and animals) and care deeply about those who make up my "part of this world". I enjoy country music and have lately decided that it may indeed be time to take dance lessons! I know that I am unique in that I do not play games, am not on this website for anything other than hopefully trying to meet someone who is honest, caring and truly wants to share his life with a wonderful woman.PS: After being on this site for a little bit I have decided to add some additional information in hopes that you get a better idea of who I am. So here are a few details ... I don't eat meat, I am not religious, and some would say that I am on the liberal side. I know that some will not reach out because of these things and that is fine. It is better to find out these little things now rather than later. Hope to hear from you. Let's meet for coffee or drinks and dinner. We need to be able to talk and discern who we are and if we "click". While first impressions are important, let's not forget that dating is indeed difficult to say the least!

Who would of thought this is where we would end up……on an online dating site.....LOL. Anyway here I am searching for a kind, gentle, responsible man to share some life experiences with. I am an active person who enjoys being around positive people and having a good time. I love to be outside and especially around water, boating, camping, wine festivals, working out and listening to music. You may find me in a pair of jeans and a baseball cap or a dress and 5 inch heels, I feel great in either. I also enjoy my down time to watch a beautiful sunset or sit on the porch with a glass of wine and smell the roses or fresh cut grass in a warm spring rain. Happiness can be found in the simplest things. Sometimes we just need to slow down to see the little things. I’m hoping to meet someone that makes my eyes light up when he enters the room and I can’t wait to give him a big hug and a kiss. I don’t think that’s asking for much ….do you? p.s. don't let my age fool you, I'm very young for my age. I could of just lied abour my age like so many people do.....lol Meet somewhere in a public place for coffee or dinner. Have time to talk to see if we enjoy each others company..

LET'S GET THIS STRAIGHT....I'm dressed like a friggin' NUN in my photos..no "cuddle time" before meeting and greeting. Just sayin'...I am just a nice girl looking for a nice guy. But not desperate. My time is limited and precious. I am a mom, 4 kids, all older, one still at home for one more year. She is my life. I work hard, I am a student, an artist and I have been on my own for 10 years now. I am baffled as to why the laundry and dishes keep piling up - only me and my girl at home. Mysterious. It is like the missing sock thing. One time I cleaned my dryer vent and found 4 single socks and 20 bucks. Awesome!“'But I don’ 'Oh, you can’t help that,' said the Cat. 'We’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad.' 'How do you know I’m mad? 'You must be,” said the Cat. 'or you wouldn’t have come here.'” Meh. That about sums it up.I am a Librarian, tho' my training and education is mostly art and communications. I work all day with children and young people. I am a perpetual student, heading into my 4th year at BCC, slowly working on my second AA, eventually a BA or BS and maybe a Masters someday. I like my space. Raised 4 kids, and did a superb job. They are fabulous. I make great art. I don't much care about how much "stuff" you have. I am not into stuff. I love people and personalities.I love animals, music - mostly listen to country - books, reading, walking, talking, writing...extremely right - brained and mathematically challenged. Oh well. I tried to fish, literally, I mean. With an actual pole and bait. Turned out I was good at spotting bait, digging sand fleas, and snagging rocks. And guarding the cooler. I think that should count for SOMETHING> I like hiking - would prefer the mountains, but like the local nature preserves. Owned a horse in my youth, love to ride. Pretty basic stuff, I oame from a military family, so I am used to uprooting and traveling. I tend towards restlessness at times. I am fairly content with my life. I recently had a life-changing medical scare that put me in a new place of perspective.. Gratitude is key, as is forgiveness, love, faith, understanding and acceptance...rarely is it level. I am capable of drama but do not seek it. No longer so easily rattled. Everything is as it should be.I believe: The best time to plant a tree was 50 years ago...second best time? TODAY. (My Gumbo Limbo is flowering...whooo hooo!!!) I'm drawing a blank. I think of it as a meet and greet, not a date.
