Hi, thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read my profile. I have a terrific job, am financially secure, own my own place and am pretty happy with my life. I love most kinds of music from classical to rock and love a good movie. I am an avid shoe collector and love to dance, sing, read, walk, getting back into playing piano, shop, the beach, live theatre and movies. Love tropical destinations, cold white wine, candles, tattoos and animals. I am comfortable in my skin and am happy being on my own, however, I would like to meet a companion to go to movies with, theatre, concerts, dinner, dancing, traveling. I don't mind staying in and watching a good movie but every now and then I do want to go out and have some fun. I am a good hearted, fun loving lady who loves people and I love to enjoy myself whether it is going to a get together at a friend's house, occassionally going to a club or just sitting home with a good movie. I love the beach and expect that someday I'll have a little cottage on the shore somewhere... or at least that's a dream of mine..I would love to have a friend to hang out with, to talk with, see a movie, to just be with. To have dinner together .. spend an evening , doing nothing.. but being together, talking about our day... I've learned that a long distance relationship just doesn't work.. unfortunately. I really hope to find a person sometime in the near future that is looking for someone to spend some time with.. Not looking for endless chat.. can't really get to know a person (or can you) and what they're all about until you get to meet in person ana spend some time together.I love music.. all kinds.. depends on the situation or the mood. Iove it all but country is probably my favorite.. it makes me happy. Not the twangy country but the hard country rock .. yeah.. even the twangy country. I love live bands..again doesn't matter the genre.. I love almost anthing I like to be spontaneous and am open to try most(almost)anything once.. ` That sounds like fun` is my mantra lol.. I am a bit on the shy side but once we get to know each other my bashfulness will soon disappear. Chances are it will be up to you to you to initiate first contact.. Old school you know.. lolI love to laugh, and sometimes people don`t get my sense of humour.. a bit on the dry side... tears streaming down my face and they will be just looking at me with their head tipped to the side saying `I don`t get it`.. Coffee, farmer's market, drink,movie, whatever we decide on together

I have been on this site (not that it is any different from the others) for about a month, but I am learning that the words you use are the only thing that strangers can look at and judge weather they are interested in you. I myself am not so good with words or expressing feelings so we have to adjust for this.The other thing I noticed is that we over 50 have had a life time already and it is very hard to express this to others but I know that we can all find someone that could make a good friend if not a good intimate mate. I find it difficult to share my feelings and I think it would be easier to just stay single and live alone, but then again....So the rest of my profile remains the same.....I am easy going, sarcastic and independent. I was born in NL and raised in Cape Breton so I have a great sense of humor. I love a good laugh, you know with tears in your eyes! I still feel like I am 40 and have no intentions of slowing down. I have a full time job that I really like. I like doing renovations and can do just about anything with a house. I love old architecture and restoring the old buildings. I recently started using herbal medicines and find it very interesting. I enjoy live concerts, photography, gardening, sewing, knitting, auctions, flea markets, yard sales. In fact most of my furniture is either hand made or purchased at auctions. I used to ski and sail a lot when I lived in Rothesay, NB and miss it very much. I would like to find friends as well as someone special to spend the rest of my life with. So if you are outgoing, funny, and enjoy the outdoors send me an e-mail and we will chat. Looking for people to share walks, go camping, skiing, sailing and beaches.I should say that I am a vegetarian, no meat in my diet, it's just cruel, but some of my friends still eat meat, so....I do not enjoy loud things like 4 wheelers & snowmobiles. I prefer hiking, cross-country skiing, beaches, etc. I do not think about what type of person I am or what type of person I am looking for. What I describe myself as may not be what you would say, and vise versa. I would need to have conversations with a person before I can say that I am interested in meeting you. I can say for sure that you need to be a honest person and a happy person. I do not care if you dig ditches for a living or have a six figure job, that is not important to me.If you asked me what I believe in I would say myself and man kind. I like using some of the ten commandments as I think that they are a good goal for people to strive towards.
