About Me

I'm a happy woman who loves to laugh, smile and have fun. I always try to look for the positive things in life. I try to always show my gratitude to those who I live with and come in contact with. I love my family, I have great kids and they are a big part of my life. I like to cook, I make a meal everyday for my family. I really love to bake and try new recipes, my kids are my critics and give me great insight as to what they think is tasty.I look forward to the future. I think of life like this, I'm the driver of a vehicle, always moving forward, only time I look back in my rear view mirror, is to see where I've been, what I have learned and how far I've come. I believe our trials and hardships make us better people, if we let them. I really like to travel and plan on doing more, I like camping and hiking and enjoy the outdoors, especially the mountains. I love having a garden, vegetables and flowers. It gives me great joy to plant a seed and watch it grow into something beautiful or delicious! I love children, and I love taking care of my Grand kids, when they come over, I just let everything else go and play with them for hours.I do like music, all kinds, oldies, country/western, not really into the rap or really loud heavy metal stuff. I also really enjoy classic movies, even the black and white ones, westerns and musicals too! What makes me unique is the lifestyle I lead. I have high morals and good manners. I treat people how I want to be treated. I love Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, they are my foundation and I credit everything I know and have to them. I go to church every week, pray everyday, read the scriptures and follow the example of my Savior in the way I live. I'm happy and I want to be with happy people who value life and know whats important in this life. I love to go on fun, unusual dates. Dinner and movies are great but on the first date, I feel there should be more interaction, talking, playing, watching how the other one reacts to different circumstances. I like to be creative and when a man puts more thought into a date, by good planning it will impress me. If a man shows up, and asks, "what do you want to do"? I know that he has not put much thought or time into coming up with something fun to do. Dont worry if I wont like what you choose to do, just say, "this is what I have planned, are you ready"? and as long as its not immoral, life threatening or unlawful I will give it a try! Here are some of my ideas of a great first date: lets go to the park, have a picnic, feed the ducks, play on the toys, have a scavenger hunt or a treasure hunt with clues that have been hidden around the park, in advance. #2. Each of take $10 go to a thrift store, choose a theme or a certain era of clothing, the one who finds the best outfit wins, take a picture of us together in our outfits, ask the people in the store who they think should win, afterwards, wear the clothing to the mall, see if anyone notices the way we are dressed!#3.Plan a fishing trip to the lake, leave early, watch the sun come up and eat doughnuts and drink hot chocolate. Rent a canoe or a little motor boat and fish for a few hours. #4. #5. Make me dinner, create a menu, act like the waiter, just be creative.

Woman. 53 years old. Zodiac sign: Capricorn.

Looking for: man. In age: 50-60

Close, intimate relationships with family and friends. Cherish time with friends and loved ones: going deeper, creating memories, celebrating holidays, milestones and achievements, walking, talking, cooking, dining, dancing, laughing, engaged in intellectual, political, stimulating discussions, playing tennis, taking my dogs on walks or to parks. Politically active on community level. I think globally, act locally. I am a connector. Enjoy bringing people together, arranging and participating in social functions. I make a mean stone soup. I practice (but have not perfected) listening, connecting and spirituality. Nourished by film, theatre, television, music, art, literature, dance, museums, galleries, botanical gardens, architecture, travel -- I especially enjoy live art: concerts, opera, theatre -- where the audience participates in and makes the experience. I attend lots of concerts at UCLA's Royce Hall, the Broad, Colburn, the Hammer, RedCat and clubs. I'm also a big musical theatre buff. Meeting at museum, over a cup of coffee, or one of the many beautiful outdoor spaces in LA.

I could finish that cheezy song, but only parts of it are really me. The truth is, I am somewhat of an anomaly. I'm creative yet detailed, I'm most comfortable in jeans, but also very girly. I'm equally at home by a bonfire or in a 5 star restaurant. Enjoy camping but love cruise ships. I guess the bottom line is that I'm not a high-maintenance diva. I'm about as real as it gets. No games, no pretense. I spend a lot of time reading but also enjoy dancing, antiquing, playing pool, bowling. I'm a good shot with a gun, love being on the water, could walk on the beach for hours. Always up for a road-trip, whether for an afternoon, a weekend or longer. I am a certified chef with a specialty in pastry, but I can cook just about anything. One of my favorite things is to feed people and make them feel loved. I owned a tea room for a short time and hope to have one again at some point. For now I'm working as an accountant to pay the rent.We are given this journey called Life which we all must navigate. But Life is short and best shared with someone special. I'm looking for a give and take relationship, not one-sided. Not even ***, but ***. I want someone to laugh with, cry with, cuddle with, to finish this journey that I'm on with. If you have a relationship with God and do not have a current relationship with addictions, I'd love to hear from you! No pressure. Let's meet for coffee or a****ail, take a walk, whatever. Somewhere conducive to talking and getting to know each other. Movies are not good places for conversation! Neither are places with loud music. Let's save those things for the second or third date!
