Woman. 52 years old. Zodiac sign: Virgo.
Looking for: man. In age: 49-59
Ready to enjoy life with someone who likes to be active and take advantage of the variety of natural and city life offered in DC. I have a rewarding job, which entails developing and managing criminal justice research for the Government, and requires only occasional travel. I am independent politically, but generally support liberal policies. Although baptized Protestant, I do not practice, and am neutral regarding religious belief and respect others' practices.I have never married or had children, but remain hopeful for marriage and parenting in the future. Children and animals like me; I only have a cat at this time, but would like to share a dog. Some of the activities listed above may sound rather high end.p.s. cannot describe personality in one word. I would like to hear suggestions for a first date.

First and foremost, I love to laugh. I have a sense of humor and very much enjoy people who do as well, or at least know how to laugh at themselves and life in general, otherwise it would all be overwhelming at times. I can take care of myself, but would enjoy sharing lots of my life with someone who got me. I am easy going and fun loving and enjoy meeting people, I work hard, and love my job, but I enjoy playing even more. While I love to be outdoors, especially near or in water, I am not a health/exercise nut, maybe someday, but not today. I love watching movies, reading a good book, which is often my escape from reality, going out, dancing, and getting together with friends old and new, playing games and just enjoying the company of others.I'd love to meet a guy that is secure in who he is, "know thyself" and not looking for a mother, but ***, a friend, a lover, a partner, to not just spend time with but who enhances the time spent together; a person that knows what they want, has goals, not a project himself, nor do I want be someone else's project to be changed, I'd rather grow together. A first date in my opinion, needs to have enough space to be able to actually talk and get to know each other, while at the same time doing something that can enhance conversation without hindering it. Maybe going for a picnic at a great place, or an evening that included a meal or a quaint pub where you could still talk without the music being overpowering.

I'm looking for an old fashioned, honest and romantic gentleman. Tough on the outside, sensitive on the inside. These dating sites are exhausting! So many of my friends have found nice men, I thought I would try it. I just want to be a woman, romanced by a man. What do I value in a man? I value strength, chivalry, a sense of humor and a strong faith. Someone I can trust with my heart. I'm not skinny and I'm not 20, but I am happy and healthy and loving and spunky! Be honest. If I'm not your type, it's ok, just tell me. I promise I will do the same.Life should be simple, not a chore. Smiles should come easy. I still believe in love and romance and marriage. Let's put our pasts behind us and just enjoy each others company and go out and enjoy this beautiful city and all it has to offer? I'm a simple girl who hates drama, looking for a simple guy that understands and enjoys a woman's company... I love going to the movies, out to dinner, to all of the festivals, and theaters. I love Alternative Rock, old school rock, and Crooners and classical too. I love surprises and romance.Don't exhaust me with games... I'm not desperate. ***, try to win me with romance and respect. If you are on this site just looking for sex, please pass me by. I'm not your girl. Thanks for reading this. Are you him? A perfect first date for me would be to meet for a glass of wine or a drink and then have a casual dinner. After that, a movie or live music or a walk by the lakefront (If we still like each other) :)
