UPDATE: AS A LITTLE GIRL, I GREW UP DREAMING ABOUT MY KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR...ONLY TO SETTLE FOR A JESTER IN ALUMINUM FOIL.I HEAR THAT 40 IS THE NEW 20, SO THIS TIME AROUND I WILL NOT SETTLE AGAIN. Hmmm...have you ever woken up one day and realized that your whole perception of life has been nothing more than a fantasy? Life has a funny way of playing tricks on all of us. We get up day after day, make the coffee, tend to the days little emergencies, make a little money, eat a little something and secretly desire to love somebody and be loved in return. With the close of the day, each of us is transformed a little more into a category regarding love. There are those who have decided to become players because they can't deal with being alone yet won't give their heart another opportunity to be broken. Then you have the handful of people who some how manage to live their lives without companionship because after being broken they know that they will not ever go down that road again. The categories go on and on, but me...well I fit into the "Hopeless Romantic."I believe that some how, some way, my best friend will find me. Although we barely know each other...it will feel like we have been reunited after losing touch with your childhood best friend. To pass the time the two of us will pick up and run with the day to its fullest, because our lives are but just a short breath and we desire one another's company. We know that it's not necessarily the activity of the day we enjoy but simply each other's company. I do believe in the fairytale ending...why not? Our lives are full of unsolicited drama, step-mothers, evil villians and the such... No, he may not ride up on his beautiful white stallion... However, with the right attitude and level of committment...Happily Ever After does exist. So if you're open to a "G" Note: This role is not suitable for "mature audiences" or short-term actors. It is a character development role not action.

I'm constantly bewildered by the cruel joke of heterosexuality. Why am I drawn to and attracted to the opposite sex when it appears that everything about us is, indeed, opposite? It seems that men are more suited to living with men, and women with women. So why are we trying to fit a square peg into a round hole (please pardon the pun as I believe I've just answered my own question while philosophizing). I am sort of a walking contradiction in that I love people but am sort of a loner. I'm a little bit country, but I'm also a little bit rock 'n' roll. I love to go for a long hike in the woods with my dogs, but when I get home I might blast some Radiohead or Pink Floyd... or Johnny Cash. Then there's big band music! So much to choose from...I like social gatherings but I'm more likely to enjoy doing something productive. Most of my hobbies entail solitude. Things like painting, writing (screenplays mostly), hiking, biking, hanging out with my dogs. Very dedicated to my dysfunctional family, as well. I'm not a huge fan of television but do like public TV and a few cable shows like "Curb Your Enthusiasm." I could watch that show for hours. Also like Mad Men and a guilty pleasure is "The Bachelor". I can be too serious/cynical about life sometimes but when my mind is free from worrying about my family, my friends and the planet, I can be a hell of a lot of fun! I love to laugh but I also can appreciate a peaceful Sunday morning drinking coffee, listening to music and reading the paper. (One stripper said that a raisin was once originally a pickle--I'm sorry, it's cruel but it makes me feel better about myself!) I'm a pescatarian and would prefer someone that's not big on eating meat. Also would love someone who is outdoorsy and more of a homebody than an adventurer.I've been told I'm a gay man trapped in a woman's body. Maybe you should be a lesbian trapped in a man's body? First date should always be quick and painless, like ripping off a band-aid, just to see if there is chemistry. A quick dinner/drink or lunch is preferred. If we make it to the second date, I'd like to take a day trip to a city I've never been to before (provided I'm driving so you can't try to kidnap me, only to be seen again on milk cartons--Have you seen this girl?) and explore the local culture. Restaurants, shops, art museums, plays, etc. If the day goes well, the drive back home exchanging time on the iPods (which we'll bring on the first date, of course) should be titillating!

I like to go camping, boating, ride quads, swimming, reading, quilting & spending time w family & friends. I listen to all kinds of music except heavy metal/screaming BS. I enjoy going out to dinner, the movies, shopping & also staying in to watch a movie cuddling on the couch. I like to go to smaller bars/clubs to have a few drinks, shoot pool & sing karaoke. The first date would really depend on mutual interest between me & the guy. But I wouldn't want it to be too intimate & cozy.
