Hello, I guess I'll tell you a little about myself. I love reading, especially historical fiction! When you can read a good novel and be taken back in time, wrapped up in the history and period and people, it really pulls you in and makes you love history and truly appreciate what so many have gone through to get us to where we are today. I am a true romantic! I also love to travel, short weekend trips and extended ones as well. Going to the casino can be fun, but I enjoy just staying home and watching a good movie just as much. I also enjoy a good glass of wine over a quite dinner just talking. Or listening to music, rock from the 70's to today's current hits...I love it all, and to dance, too! I hate to fight; will give my man all the room he needs, but please talk to me; I want to hear all about your day, your feelings, what's bothering you. And just so you know..I love to spoil. I've just finished writing a children's book, my first, and I'm waiting for my daughter to illustrate it! I'm working on a second one, it really have a lot of fun! I very much enjoy doing volunteer work and fundraising; doing for others and raising money for good causes and organizations gives me great joy. I have three children Twins that are seniors in high school and my oldest daughter is a senior in college and plans to attend law school once she finishes undergrad. My children are my life...they are wonderful and I am so very proud of them. Let's see, I would like going to dinner...it certainly wouldn't have to be anything fancy, but somewhere we could relax, enjoy dinner, maybe a glass of wine and conversation. If there was live music, it would be all the better! If that second glass of wine came around and more conversation, that would be a good indication that things were going well and we would just sit and talk and get to know one another and enjoy the music...for a first date, I think that would be perfect.

One thing about me is I have no time for games and will not tolerate anyone who plays them..Ive grown up a lot from my past relationships and plan on having a better future with someone worth being in it,and thats if i give them that privilege..Life is to short and to amazing not to spend it with someone, its just hard to find someone whos worth it..Ive seen more pain then happiness in my life with men and plan on my next being my last :)))

53, (where did the time go?),blond, blue eyes, slightly plus-size WOMAN (not a girl) with an affectionate nature. When I give a man my heart, he knows he is loved and appreciated. If your physique and looks are absolutely perfect, you can complain about mine. Until then, be realistic and accepting and I'll do the same. I enjoy ND football, pretty much exclusively. If you enjoy other sports, no problem, I can entertain myself elsewhere. I like to get out and hear local bands occasionally, but I'm just as happy at home enjoying your tunes selected just for me. A great evening around a fire can't be beat! I love the local comedy clubs, it never hurts to laugh so for Pete's sake...get out and enjoy some awesome comedy! Laugh a little...quit taking life so seriously! There is fantastic local talent if you look for it. I have raised show dogs for nearly 30 years and currently have three small dogs. This is not likely to change anytime soon and it affects my ability to be totally spontaneous as I need to make arrangements for their care. Additionally I am a responsible adult with a job. All this affects my ability to drop everything and pay total attention to YOU...give me a break and be understanding. I promise that I'll do the best I can if you'll do the best you can! I don't think you'll be disappointed. Being an adult means understanding the art of compromise. If you don't understand that, you're not adult enough for me. I am not desperate because I am single & I am single because I'm NOT desperate. I listen to country music because I can understand the words and the story behind the lyrics. However, I also listen to R & B, classic Rock and Yanni.E.M., R. When I'm mad, Eminem blares, and no one sings angry break- You heard me right....gospel. In other words...I love music by anyone that has that special ability to move me with a melody! And yes, I'm that middle aged person at the stoplight with the speakers thumpin' out the bass beat! "If it's too loud, you're too old!" My latest adventure in life was my return to college in pursuit of my Bachelors Degree in Health Sciences after a 30 year break. It tested what was left of my sanity! I'm proud to say I graduated Summa Cum Laude (with highest honors) and a 3.96 GPA. Internet dating is interesting. There are lots of opportunities, and lots of people rejected without ever meeting. I love to meet someone for coffee and dessert. (Lunch or dinner is tooooo long to be sitting with someone that you don't click with). Or maybe a quick drink in a place that allows conversation. Gentlemen...Please... Unless specifically asked, this first meeting is NOT the best time to brag about your "skills" in the bedroom...seriously..that just smacks of desperation and its a bit pathetic. A truly good lover won't have to brag or try to impress anyway. When you leave after a brief visit and realize the time flew past and you still have things you want to tell that person...you're onto something. If, after your meeting, you have the feeling of "I'm not that lonely yet"...keep MOVING!!!!!
