Well, following the outline: Hobbies - I'm currently heading back toward web development, but have done scuba diving, aviation, made things out of wood and metal - Okay, not artistic at all. Currently trying to learn to sing and not happy with my progress thus far (over 2 years). My goals are associated with hobbies and experiences rather than work - I'm one of those guys that works to enable the rest of life, not work to give life meaning. Which is not to say I don't appreciate those people and their motivation! How I am unique: Don't watch much TV or movies so out of step culturally, not to mention a complete disinterest in sports (except motor sports). In fact I love engines come to think of it. I just bought a ***VMAX (motorcycle). Would love to delve more into engines but money... I enjoy music, generally not country but that isn't hard and fast. I like music with compelling lyrics. One song that really piqued my interest was "the Pit" by The Silversun Pickups. Elements of those songs really resonate with me for one reason or another. I don't like movies or elaborate restraunt (sure I spelled that wrong) meals - more about the event than about getting to know each other. I think the best would be grabbing something to go and hitting a park bench or just sitting in the car and just eating and making conversation or enjoying a comfortable silence together.

Friends and family tell me all the time that I am such a catch, a guy shouldn't even hesitate or question as to whether or not I am worth the pursuit. Bless them...as friends they are perhaps biased, but I suppose deep down, I also hope they are right.Be a communicator. All of this may sound like a lot to ask for, but it is what I want to give to someone myself, and aren’t all these things that make a successful partner in the first place?I am looking for someone intelligent, witty, funny, and able to carry on a conversation. Practical knowledge and common sense is much more important to me than “book smarts.” I want someone who is brave and confident about life, and not afraid to take the time and effort required to get to know another person. You must take an active interest in your fitness level and make daily efforts to maintain a healthy and fit lifestyle. No closet cases, either…be out and proud of who you are, to everyone. I must admit, despite the responsible conservatism I am looking for when it comes to the practical side of a guy, I do love a little bit of a bad boy too...not the kind that calls you from jail at 4:00am, but the kind that would drive 100mph on an open road if he could get away with it. In case this is a concern, when it’s time for bed, I occupy the bottom bunk. That is what I am comfortable with, it is the way it is, and I can own that. If I feel, based on your own profile, that you may be a good fit, I will respond. Adieu… As traditional as I am, I tend to think out of the box about first dates. The typical dressing up and going to dinner kind of date is intimidating as hell. I think the first date should be more casual, less structured, and give both people something to do and talk about *** sitting awkwardly across the table from one another, trying to figure out how to escape, should they not hit it off. One of the best dates I have had was one where we spent an afternoon browsing through an antique mall and taking a walking tour of a city we were both unfamiliar with. It was great fun and completely without stress.
