Well, following the outline: Hobbies - I'm currently heading back toward web development, but have done scuba diving, aviation, made things out of wood and metal - Okay, not artistic at all. Currently trying to learn to sing and not happy with my progress thus far (over 2 years). My goals are associated with hobbies and experiences rather than work - I'm one of those guys that works to enable the rest of life, not work to give life meaning. Which is not to say I don't appreciate those people and their motivation! How I am unique: Don't watch much TV or movies so out of step culturally, not to mention a complete disinterest in sports (except motor sports). In fact I love engines come to think of it. I just bought a ***VMAX (motorcycle). Would love to delve more into engines but money... I enjoy music, generally not country but that isn't hard and fast. I like music with compelling lyrics. One song that really piqued my interest was "the Pit" by The Silversun Pickups. Elements of those songs really resonate with me for one reason or another. I don't like movies or elaborate restraunt (sure I spelled that wrong) meals - more about the event than about getting to know each other. I think the best would be grabbing something to go and hitting a park bench or just sitting in the car and just eating and making conversation or enjoying a comfortable silence together.

    I'm rather tired of the dating scene so I am just looking for someone who wants to enjoy each others companies. Let other things come later. I will admit I tend to like guys younger than me but I am open for any discusson. I think love can be found where you least expect it and often where you don't think of looking for it. I love the outdoors, the arts (particularly theatre), swimming, traveling, big cities, the ocean, watching football, soccer and hockey (not necessarily in that order.)Many other things and am always willing to try new things.I'm looking for someone to date and possibly have more develop. I will admit I keep pretty busy due to my type of work not always being nine to five so it gives me a great understanding of not being "needy" or having to "be next to the person" ***. I'm funny and I really don't take life to serious. Professionally I'm serious but when it comes to hanging out with people I like to joke, don't have a desire to be the center of attention which is funny since I perform and direct productions. I like to sit back more and observe people. I think the best thing ever said about me by someone is "you don't think outside the box, you live outside it".Basically I believe if you love life and treat everyone with the respect they deserve you have a better chance of finding happiness or at least making some great friends. How about dinner or lunch. Not a fan of movies for first date since we shouldn't be talking during the movie. Dinner gives us a chance to chat, find out similar interests, maybe laugh about things a little. Then after dinner do something active/interactive (no not that!), a walk on the beach, an amusement park, or a sporting event. Something or place where we can get to know each other but it is relaxing and getting to know each other isn't just the main focus. Lets hang and more will develop.
