Okay, so, a bit about me. I'm 51 and divorced after a long term marriage.23 yrs to be exact! I have grown responsible children. More about my family after I get to know you.No need to share thier lives with you when after all this about me.I don't NEED a man in my life to be happy. But, I would like to have someone to share it with. After all it is nice to share good times! I enjoy the simple things in life as well as the glam and glitz of course.Who doesn't? I'm a bit of a girly girl. Not really into guy things but, of course would be supportive of them if you do. If you want a buddy to do guy things with then find a guy to date. Otherwise, thanks for taking the time to read it and good luck with your life :)WARNING: Any *** individuals using this site or any of its associated sites for studies or projects-you DO NOT have permission to use any of my profile or pictures in any form or forum both current and future. I am a divorced lady with no children. I am still friendly with my ex, and now feel ready to get back into the social scene. I work for a large travel agency and would love to have someone to travel with! I have two cats, whom I love, and I plan to add a dog to my home very soon, so you MUST be an animal lover! I don't care about age, as long as it's not too huge a gap either way. I am looking for someone easygoing, stable, and calm, who enjoys going out but also likes to stay home and veg once in a while. Anyone I'm with has to be at least somewhat liberal, yet also not hate country music! This poem is a favorite of mine. If it speaks to you also, please contact me!The DanceI have sent you my invitation, the note inscribed on the palm of my hand by the fire of living.Don’t jump up and shout, “Yes, this is what I want! Let’s do it!”Just stand up quietly and dance with me.Show me how you follow your deepest desires, spiraling down into the ache within the ache, and I will show you how I reach inward and open outwardto feel the kiss of the Mystery, sweet lips on my own, every day.Don’t tell me you want to hold the whole world in your heart.Show me how you turn away from making another wrong without abandoning yourself whenyou are hurt and afraid of being unloved.Tell me a story of who you are,and see who I am in the stories I live. And together we will remember that each of us always has a choice.Don’t tell me how wonderful things will be . . . some day.Show me you can risk being completely at peace, truly okay with the way things are right now in this moment, and again in the next and the next and the next. . .I have heard enough warrior stories of heroic daring.Tell me how you crumble when you hit the wall, the place you cannot go beyond by the strength of your own will. What carries you to the other side of that wall, to the fragile beauty of your own humanness? And after we have shown each other how we have set and kept the clear, healthy boundaries thathelp us live side by side with each other, let us risk remembering that we never stop silentlylovingthose we once loved out loud.Take me to the places on the earth that teach you how to dance, the places where you can risk letting the world break your heart. And I will take you to the places where the earth beneath my feet and the stars overhead makemy heart whole again and again.Show me how you take care of businesswithout letting business determine who you are. When the children are fed but still the voices within and around us shout that soul’s desires havetoo high a price, let us remind each other that it is never about the money.Show me how you offer to your people and the worldthe stories and the songsyou want our children’s children to remember. And I will show you how I struggle not to change the world, but to love it.Sit beside me in long moments of shared solitude, knowing both our absolute aloneness and our undeniable belonging.Dance with me in the silence and in the sound of small daily words, holding neither against me at the end of the day.And when the sound of all the declarations of our sincerestintentions has died away on the wind, dance with me in the infinite pause before the next great inhaleof the breath that is breathing us all into being, not filling the emptiness from the outside or from within.Don’t say, “Yes!”Just take my hand and dance with me.© Oriah Mountain Dreamer, from the book The Dance, HarperONE, SanFrancisco, ***I like to keep the first meeting pretty casual -- a cup of coffee or maybe a glass of wine, conversation, see what comes from that . . .

Woman. 52 years old. Zodiac sign: Scorpio.

Looking for: man. In age: 49-59

I've been divorced for several years (over a decade) and my life is in a pretty good place. I don't really have any baggage to speak of unless, you count my cat and my dog lol. If you don't like animals, you probably won't like me. I am Christian by faith that means a lot to me. I think I'm looking for the same thing everyone else on here, is looking for. Isn't that what life is all about? I volunteer for a couple of different charity organizations and i'm on the board of my HOA so my life can be full of meetings at times. My kids are all independent and living their dreams. Now i'd like to live one of mine and find that special someone. I know you're out there! Laughter is my favorite emotion (isn't everyone's?) and it's a part of my daily routine. I'm pretty sick of dating, and would like to find that one man to hold my hand through the rest of this crazy life. My ideal man would drive a pickup truck, listen to classic rock and some oldies, enjoy tinkering around the house, hanging out by the water, bbq-ing with friends, enjoy a margarita or a beer from time to time and weekend getaways. He doesn't have to be rich, but he should like what he does. He doesn't smoke and he can hang with me at church on Sunday morning or hold my hand in prayer. As for me? I have more good days than bad, enjoy all the things I just mentioned, and believe that you need to meet someone in person to see if you're compatible. Profiles only give you a glimpse of who someone is. My friends are an important part of my life and sometimes I like to spend the day with the girls. I expect whoever i'm with to be able to entertain himself and, have a hobby that doesn't include me. I think that's how you keep things interesting. I'm not a cheater, a liar or angry at anyone. I don't live in the past, and I understand that life is precious. If you have a profile picture with your shirt off flexing your muscles, we're probably not a match. If you do drugs or drink every day, we're definately not a match. If you're looking for someone to "just date", we're not a match. If you choose your women like you do your toys, keep going. I'm a real woman not a toy. I enjoy being in a relationship and i'm not afraid to love. I hope i'm never so cynical that I think it doesn't exist. Ok, if you're still reading then I think, in spirit of full disclosure, you should know that I have thyroid disease. It's not fatal, it doesn't prevent me from doing anything I want to do, I just take a pill every day like people with high blood pressure do. What it does do, is slow my metabolism, so I have to always stay active. I carry an extra 30lbs more than I used to and i've had to embrace that. Men seem fixated on size, so I can tell you that i'm a ***and that probably won't change. I love hiking and camping and eat a healthy diet (low carb, little gluten). It's how I stay healthy and I am healthy. If you'd like to see if we're a match, please *** first date should be like meeting a new friend. Let's go some place, have an intelligent conversation and see if we like each other. I've found that it takes time to know a person, so i'm not in a rush and I hope you aren't either.
