Hi, and thanks for taking the time to readI enjoy all types of music but mainly Soul, Reggae & R & B. I like to eat well and have a varied diet, I enjoy weights ,running and general fitness routines, I run my own building company which keeps me busy - I work hard and believe that if we want the nice things in life we have to work hard for them.I have been single for a few years while concentrating on raising my daughter, she is now 13 yrs old!I spent a few years teaching at the local college,which was rewarding but very demanding and did`nt do my social life any favours, but setting up my own business changed that and now I find I have more time on my hands.I am an easy going person, loving, caring, warm hearted, and looking for a like minded person to settle down with. I love a woman who cares for herself and takes pride in her appearance. I have travelled alot,experienced hardship around the world and seen how the other half live. I hope somewhere along the way I helped make a difference to someones life, no matter how big or small. I have made mistakes in the past but I have learned from them and they have made me a better person. Life is important to me, thrive to be the best in any way I can, if I find a way to make you happy I will. First, foremost and always, I'm a father of three boys, aged 14, 11 and ***Yes, I am Mr.)I suppose I'm a bit of a dichotomyI'm funny, irreverent, politically incorrect, I am ashamably comfortable looking like a slob, yet I love dressing well.I'm equally comfortable at a black tie event or slugging back a few beers with my buddies at the local brasserieI live life with a twinkle in my eye, I'm fun, self confident, self motivated, self employed yet hopefully self-less.I enjoy giving, more so than taking.Sincerity is important to me, I've neither the time nor patience for game playing.I am direct, perhaps too much so at times.I love chatting, cozing up and just sitting on the couch, or perhaps rushing off to catch a play at the Centaur.I want to live life to the fullest, but all the same I'm trying not to get so caught up in the rat race.But for me more than anything, it's about the laughter. I MUST have humor in my life. I like walking hand in hand, or holding each other.Nothing is better than a stroll through The Mountain. Walking together. Laughing.And of course, there has to be chemistry, that undefinable thing - but when you've got it, you just know it.I take care of myself ( at my age ya gotta!)...I go to the gym seven days a week, and run ***km. on one machine or another..as well as work out with weights. I eat well, care for my appearance, and expect the same of my partner.So, I'm shallow enough to admit that looks matter, they do; but that's only a small part of the equation.We all need that magic.My partner will be a self assured, confident woman. What she does isn't important, so long as she does it well.We should all strive to be the best that we can be. I truly believe that within the the fortress of a couple, joys are doubled and sorrows are halved.I hope to find that special someone to share the rest of my life with; but I can honestly say I'm not sure what it is I'm looking for, I just hope I'll recognize it when I find it.In the meantime, at least let's make the journey as much fun as the destination and laugh on the way there.P.S. I am fully house trained and acutely aware of the fact that saucepans and other domestic appliances do not explode on contact with testosterone. Also I recently completed and passed the latest intensive HSE approved course for dealing with spider removal, which keeps panic and screaming to a minimum. Other small insects and garden creatures like worms and slugs, a speciality. Most importantly I have now mastered, (after much considerable effort), the ancient art of putting the toilet seat back down. I always try to be cheerful and like to think that I have a good sense of humour. (Mind you, after those opening few lines, then perhaps you might well disagree and after reading them back myself you may have a point). I enjoy all the usual cheesy things like scuba diving, watching and playing most sports, (but not golf under any circumstances, a very long story), music, (playing ***, writing and listening too), cooking. When the situation demands and dictates, then I can be serious and mature as required and especially if out on special occasions where good behaviour is imperative.Fully happy and conversant with the fact that I will be placed further down the pecking order than chocolate, new shoes, new boots, (all footwear really if I am being honest), handbags and shopping trips. I can also safely be left unattended when out on said shopping expeditions and you can be comfortable in the knowledge that I will not wander off on my own.For me it is all about the person you are inside, character, sense of humour, integrity, compassion, honesty, trust, passion, loyalty. For me these are all things which you can't teach you are born with them and they should all improve with age and can only make any relationship better.Can’t believe I am about to run out of spac A good question, extremely well presented, that I will sadly have to revisit later on and give a bit of thought, as after finishing this initial enthralling debrief/joining questionnaire I feel the need for a little lie down in a darkened room with a cold flannel draped across my fevered brow.
