Its been a long time since I was looking to meet someone and I am just trying to fgure it out. Like everyone, life has served up a few curve balls but I am excited about the possibilities of a new beginning so here goes. ..I am humourous casual intelligent, I work hard through the week and like to kick back on weekends. I am direct, painfully (sometimes), honest, stable and focusing more on health than I used to. I am very family and friend focused, giving and generous. I am looking to slow down the pace now from all work and take more time for hobbies vs renovating and such. I am easy going, trustworthy and dependable (sheesh ..kind of sounds like a dishwasher??). Am patient, modest (except for this profile), honest and prefer "real" conversations to phoney ones. I love animals, nature, boating and being in Muskoka at the cottage and spend as much time there as I can... sights, sunsets, the smell, the peace is all good. I am handy (can build and fix things) and traditional..(opening the odd door isn't because you can't). I am compassionate and giving. I like all kinds of music from rock to motown to 40's, 50's, 60's 70's 80's, 90's and new country..no rap please. I am close to my family, have three adult step daughters and am loyal and supportive to my close friends. Can get by fine on my own but would prefer someone to share life with. Would like to share my world and like to learn about yours. I like going out but equally comfortable at home with good food, wine and a couch watching the TV (It seems to me everyone says that...doesn't anyone have chores and "stuff" to do)? Love to get people laughing and manage to generate a fair bit of humour once you get to know me. My home is always open and often a meeting place for friends and family. I guess I am looking for a special someone who understand the work hard, play hard motto. Someone satisfied with their life but want to forge a second beginning. Smart, energetic, fun, comfortable in jeans, shorts and a dress (i guess not at the same time), not too formal or serious but has the intelligence and compassion to care about life and the wit to laugh about it. Able to take some light hearted kidding and presumably deliver it. PS Sure glad this public scrutiny is over ...good luck in your search. Somewhere comfortable and casual for a few drinks where we can talk and learn about each other...

Young at heart father of three legally separated and to be divorced very soon. Okay then now that that’s clear. I live on my own and have my kids half the time. I like to have fun and have always appreciated “taking in the moments”. I am easy to please especially if I am in good company. Not really interested in keeping up with the Joneses’. I like music, love a great cup of coffee and a great glass of wine. I enjoy weekend getaways, spending time outside whether it is a walk, hike, bike ride, camping, cottaging, skating or even sitting on my porch with my laptop and a glass of wine ? I work out regularly and have good energy. There is something satisfying about time spent in the kitchen. Preparing a meal or assisting as sous chef. Music playing, glass of wine, dabbling with a recipe now and then and enjoying the results (if you didn’t mess up lol). I like to lighten things up at work as much as I can. Usually its stories of my Go train trips to work (there is a conversation in itself). I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I don’t dance much but if I have a drink or two that could change :P . Looking for someone non-judgemental, comfortable in their own skin, can laugh at herself and very importantly will hold my hand when we go for a walk. I am fine with the not rushing it approach but the long term goal for me of course is to not grow old alone. If we fit I will be there for you. As much as I like to get out and be active I have no problem with relaxing down time on a Friday night with a good movie or an HBO episode. We could tackle the other stuff Saturday and/or Sunday. I so look forward to the day I don’t need to go online to get an update. Right? Go for coffee, Go for drinks, sit in a park.Go over Niagra Falls in a barrel, wha!?

I am an active and fit guy blessed with great health. I am aware that riches come in many forms other than money. I believe that trust, true friends and close family bonds are the greatest treasures on earth and that good health should never be taken for granted. I believe in getting out there and taking chances and risks and living fully because you never know when your time is up. Life has taught me much and I have felt the pain of great loss (sometimes self-inflicted due to my stubborn insistence on learning things the hard way or too slowly), the sting of disappointment, and the bitter taste of broken dreams, and yet I remain an irrepressible optimist! What's with that eh? I've been here before and I find it's very much hit and miss, and one should always keep their wits about them. If I may speak plainly, I am looking for somebody who is relaxed, calm, caring, romantic and loves music. You can expect the same in return. Things I would like to do? Hmm....
