About Me

I am going to try this out again. It has been awhile. I have met some sweet men on here with the few dates that I have been on, just not that *** that I am looking for. I am a young looking 48 with 3 grown children, 2 of whom are married and I also have 3 grandchildren. I am very proud of all of them. I am financially and emmotionally stable and happy. I am ok alone, but do not want to be that way forever. I would however rather be in no relationship, than a bad one. I have awesome friends and family that I would do anything for. I absolutely do not tolerate rudeness, being judgemental, crude or crass behavior and definitely not anger or negativity. We all get pushed to the limit, but by now should be able to control it and control how we let things effect us. Being angry only makes it worse, so just make the best of it and don't sweat the small stuff. I have lost both of my parents and all of my siblings and I have learned a lot. I am not big on cliche's however they are cliche's because they are true and life is definitely too short. I am looking for a happy, honest, caring and positive person with a zest for life who enjoys friends, family, animals and simple pleasures. I love to travel and see new places, I love music and going to concerts or seeing local live music. I want someone who treats others as they would want to be treated and puts the person they are with as high priority and demands the same in return. I also wants someone who will defend and take care of their loved ones with everything they have. I am 10' tall and bullet-proof when it comes to my loved ones.     I'm going to try to keep this short...we have to save something to talk about right? I am a down to earth country girl. Ok ok so I was a city girl to start with about ten years ago, but all country now. Although It would be cool to have a coffee shop close by though. I like my porch time and my barn time. (if I had a barn-use to). I believe you got to enjoy what you have and count all your blessings with thankfulness. You got to have a sense of humor. It feels good to laugh and be yourself. I know who I am and what I want. I know I want to share life with someone who can truly love and be loved and not get caught up in himself. I believe in giving and giving some more. Relationships aren't for taking but for sharing life with each other. You know-through thick and thin! I just want to share the joy of living with someone who feels the same, has similar interests and wants to spend time together. Doesn't need to be every waking moment together-a person has to have time to do thier own thing too. I love animals and they are important part of who I am. I missed my calling to be a vet but God has given me a heart to care for those that I can. I've had a lab rescue on and off for several years. If I won the lottery I would have a full blown Labrador rescue! I've volunteered since the age of 17 at animal shelters or rescue organizations spending time caring for the unwanted animals. I've also had the heart warming pleasure of rescuing horses. Animals give us so much. They love you for who you are unconditionally! That's love. I've read quit a few profiles and some are very eloquent and creative. Makes you just want to set up the first date or at least send em a message to tell them it was a good read! As for mine.. Well you can decide. I'd rather spend the time meeting and getting to know someone the old fashioned way. First date! Crap I haven't dated in over 12 years and I'm 46 years old! No more mini skirts and high heals for me. I'm a jeans and boots kind a girl. I'd rather call it a get together and go eat somewhere in expensive with no pressure-so you can see that I don't just eat salads! Or have a coffee in a nice quiet coffee shop.

    I’m out-going, kind, and generous. Friends are very important to me and I’m blessed to have many special ones in my life. I enjoy cooking for anyone and everyone who asks me to. I read cook books like other people read novels. As much as I love cooking also like going out to dinner, especially if I have a coupon! Love me, love my dogs. They are a never-ending source of comfort and were my saviors after my husband passed away. I prefer long weekends away as opposed to a “real vacation”.
