People only need 3 bones to live happily...a funny bone, a wish bone and a back bone.Time and energy spent with my family and friends trumps the pursuit of material things. I have a strong work ethic and am financially responsible. When off the clock I remain energetic and playful, but can also relax, reflect and be still. I live a full and happy life, yet still have room for a special man who can love with all of his heart. Nurturing close friendships, both old and new will always be important to me. Sharing a variety of outdoor activities with fellow nature lovers is at the top of my fun list. Getting together for picnics and walks along the beach or attending outdoor concerts and dancing the night away are some of my favorite social activities. I joined a vintage bicycling club as a fun way to get outside and see the beautiful Bay Area through different eyes. I like to take classes and learn new things like yoga, swing dancing, ceramics, flower arranging, hula dancing and Italian cooking. It may sound silly, but I recently took up the ukulele and have a great time strumming away while trying to sing along. I am big on going to the library and reading. Cook books, historical fiction, autobiographies and Rick Steves are often in the stack at the check out counter. My latest summer adventure was touring Europe with a fantastic group of interesting people. Now I am stricken with Wanderlust...Where to go next??? So many choices! A first meeting at a pub, coffee shop or frozen yogurt place. Then perhaps a second meeting for a walk & talk at a pretty outdoorsy place.

I like to hang out at home, I like to dance, walk, laugh, like rock and roll, country, blues, some jazz and some classical. I'm implusive and like doing things on the spur of the moment. I like exploring, doing something new and meeting new people. First date, dinner is great and talk, have a little wine, walk, do something together

I'm looking for someone that is willing to take the time to read my "book" not just the cover. If you are looking strictly for a physical relationship then you should probably move on. I look forward to intimate encounters after getting to know someone really well but it is not number one on my list. Friendship is! I love cats (have 3 of them), so you must love them too. I love intelligent conversations. I love books and movies. I also love flea markets, swap meets, craft shows, yard sales, etc. I'm a bargain hunter. I like to build puzzles and play board games. I like to bowl, shoot pool, and play darts. I enjoy quiet times but I do like an occasional night on the town. I am a veteran and therefore very patriotic and want to meet others who love this country as much as I do. I'm not overly fond of flying (I do it anyhow) but I enjoy traveling on the open road, maybe some day in an RV. Camping is fun. I love Harleys and miss my days of riding. I smoke and I'm overweight both of which I'd like to change so I'm looking for someone who would be supportive and possibly want to do the same. There's a lot more to me but I guess I find it easier to answer questions than just talk about myself. So ask away. I think a first date should be simple but special. Maybe someplace like Kanapaha Botanical Gardens where we can walk and talk amidst a beautiful setting. Meeting for coffee or drinks can be a standby if it's someplace where we can talk and be heard.
